Men have no problem accepting sex from a woman no matter her past history. As long as she's clean, it's a green light. But when it comes to getting into a relationship or anything long term, men usually would not consider a woman with an extensive sexual past. Why?

I think it's a social matter. In media, it's idolized by rap and other music, like rock in the 80's, to be wanted by women and to be successful. One way of proving you're wanted by women is by counting how many you've slept with.
Not all men want this of course, but plenty of men do. It's a matter of culture and how it affects people.
Surprisingly, though, most guys I talk to usually don't want sex until they're in a relationship. They may find someone sexually attractive, but won't act on it until they're in a relationship with them.
Some people just have low standards, others have high standards when it comes to having sex.
It's hard to separate cultural ideas from instincts.
But for most of human evolution, sleeping with as many women as possible was a good evolutionary strategy. Pairing off and bonding with a woman who had good genes and was fertile and -only sleeping with you- and helping raise her (your) kids was also a good strategy. So men have impulses to do both those things (sometimes at the same time).
Being in a relationship only made evolutionary sense for men if the woman was sexually faithful.
Sexist double standards.
Those men are insecure, hypocritical and most likely sexist too. I would seriously advise any woman to not date such guys because most likely those guys see her as a second-class citizen.

Well, I don't care about that. If she's intelligent and quick to call out a man's misdeeds and stupidity, that's great. The problem I have is that the relationship and bond isn't as strong knowing your woman has been with a lot of men. It's an uncomfortable thought, especially if you love or like her. If you just want sex, you could care less about her past. You just want a quick release
