Why do MOST guys lie about their penis size? Why don't they just tell the truth?

Why do almost all guys lie about the size of their penis? 

This guy told me there is no such thing as a dick bigger than 7 inches and that all guys who say that lie. 

I bet he was just lying just because he has a small one and gets really pissed every time someone says they have a big penis. 

And if 7 Inches is above average.. Why do most guys say theirs is 7. Not every one can have a 7" penis. This means that most men lie? But why?

Also, I only think he has a small one because he gets really pissy everytime someone says they have a large penis. I have never actually seen it. So don't even start on that.

Why don't they just tell the truth? Especially if they are asking questions online? And say that their penis is 4" long. And they lie and ask a question saying "is 7" enough? Is it too small?"

My hypothesis is many guys measure their dick wrong. All those studies with the 5.5" avg. use the medical practice ruler on top of the dick and straight across to the tip of the head. Lots of guys I think measure starting at the top of their balls and all the way up, which is not accurate.

That's why there's 17 year olds on gag with 7 inch dicks. When if they measured correctly, they are probably right along the average.

Because women have a tendency to like guys with big dicks more than small dicks, tall guys more than short guys, rich guys more than short guys, guys with a lot of hair, as opposed to no hair. So if so many women weren’t so adamant about these preferences, then they wouldn’t have any reason to lie

So many guys lie I don't get it but 7 doesn't seem like a lie depending on age because an average male adults penis is about 6 and I am already 6 inches at 14 years old so some might not be lying

A lot of guys mismeasure as well. They press in = giving at least an extra inch. Some even measure from the bottom. As long as they see that 7 on the ruler, they're happy and convince themselves that's the size. It's hard to accept you got a little dick or even an average one, they can't sleep at night!

I haven't lied about my size but there have been a few times when I wish I would have. Most guys are insecure about their size due to  p*rn . I don't know about all guys I want to be told I'm big and it be the truth. Being told you are small I think is similar to a girl being called fat

The same reason women wear makeup and stuff like padded bras or spanks. To make themselves seem outwardly more confident and to hide their insecurities.
