Will I ever regret being promiscuous?

I'm terrified that when I get older I'll regret having sex with a lot of guys. I've been with five guys already. I'm not dating them. And I want more.

  • It's possible that you might regret it at some point. I'm all for female empowerment and women being able to express themselves sexually, however, there are consequences for everything and you should take that into consideration. Some women end up regretting being promiscuous but others do not so, it just depends on the person.

    If you sleep with a lot of guys, it may be harder to find a man to settle down with when you're ready for a relationship. Having sex with many men also may increase your risk for STD's, so, if you're going to do it, please use protection.

    No one here can definitively say if you will regret it or not though. You're the only person who knows how you feel.

  • Just make sure the people you choose to have sex with are healthy and you want to have sex with them. Otherwise there's nothing to reget unless they turn out to be selfish XD

    Also think: Are you worried because of your personal concerns or concerns that come from outside yourself? That may help too ;)

  • With your logic you shouldn't do anything in life because you can potentially later regret everything you do.

    You might as well regret NOT having lived your life to the fullest and having sex as much as you liked in life. There is no way of knowing "now" what you will regret "later". It all depends on what you do now and how you feel about it later. And you don't know that now.

    But the fact that you state this question indicate that you feel what you are doing is somewhat wrong and you are afraid that you will regret doing things that you feel is wrong.

  • It sounds like you already believe this may be a problem for you in the future. Some people will tell you to go for it and just have fun but that advice fails for people who have a sense of morality about their sexual conduct, and apparently you do (despite your track record.) Why is it that you feel a need to have sex with guys for whom you do not have any feelings?

    You might regret it if you catch and std or get pregnant by one of your one night stands/flings. Or perhaps you might regret it if your dating options decline. Most guys who have options usually don't consider promiscuous girls to be ideal candidates for marriage/relationships, so you could lose out. But then again you could adopt the mantra of "oh if he can't accept my history than he's not a real man!".

  • Just go for it but make sure you always use condoms as you don't want to catch an STI from a random. Then if asked you conveniently have no idea but just say a few but not too many
