Would it be incest if a step sibling fucked?

I know that Incest is when you have sex with your family but a step sister and brother are only related by marriage.

  • Incest has scientifically proven medical concerns. Other than that there is no reason it became "wrong". I'm not giving you an opinion. Just look at the history as documented. Incest was the preferred way for the wealthy, ordained, and royalty to keep money and power within the family. If one didn't want to give up half their land, have your Daughter marry within the family. Once it was learned how bad that was medically it became wrong and more taboo. I'm sure it was always creepy in how it could unfold, but the bottom line was that it was seen as the thing to do by some over the course of history.

    So, when you look at step-siblings there is none of the medical baggage, but as pointed out if you've been step-siblings for a long time it will be very weird culturally. All that said... if ScarJo is my step sister and she's coming on to me I'm not thinking of anything other than yes for even a fleeting moment.

  • I don't think so. There is no blood connection. Even if you've been raised together your whole life, if you know there is no connection, then it isn't incest. I mean, it's still your [step] sibling, but isn't incest.
    that said? you can still expect 90% of people who find out about such a relationship to be bothered by it.

  • I hope not... haha, just kidding. Legally no as the whole reason the law was ever made was to protect people from the biological regression from in-breeding. If your not blood related, there are no reasons to worry and the law would not apply. If people were weirded out by it then it would be their problem not yours.

  • I'm pretty sure the law will categorize that as incest even though you're not blood related. Be careful going down that path. You can look it up on the i-net about what your state defines as "incest". Then there's the family acceptance of such a relationship. That can/could get really weird and obviously emotionally charged. Again, tread very carefully.

    • He's wrong about the legal definition, but he is right that it wouldn't be smart and things will eventually get very awkward (most relationships end and this one almost certainly would). I mean can you imagine a family reunion if others found out, especially after you break up? It is playing with fire.

  • Not legally, no. Incest laws are about potential genetic problems (though there has been some debate about that justification for obvious reasons) and abuse of authority. Step-siblings don't have legal authority over each other and they're not blood related. Still pretty taboo though.

    Then the brothers and sisters are both related to their sibling by blood, but then are also related to their siblings spouse by marriage.

    This is seen as ok here in Texas, no blood relation means no problem. Though it would be up to each family and each states law system.
