First of all, this has not happened to me, but I know girls that it has happened to. What if someone threatened to do something to you that could potentially destroy their life unless you had sex with them? For example, what if they knew a devastating secret of yours that they said they would expose unless you slept with them, even though you don’t want to? I know that it probably wouldn’t meet the legal definition of sexual assault or rape because the person didn’t physically force them self on you or use violence, but to me, that sounds like the sort of thing that Harvey Weinstein was doing. Do you think that qualifies as “forced sex?”

That's rape by coercion. Consent means that the individual gives permission of their own free will with no external factors influencing the choice.

I’m a sex worker and I had a client threaten to rape me and if I didn’t let him he’d tell my family what I do for work. I let him tell them because fuck no am I getting raped over stupid blackmail. Took his ass to court over it, he got arrested and has a restraining order with me. If a man does that shit, it’s not legal. It’s assault to blackmail/expose someone.

An unwelcome hand on the leg along with the threat of trouble if you don't have sex would definitely be sexual harassment and should be punished, but because you can still refuse and do something about it like take it to the police or if at work the management. However it is in no way the same thing as sexual assault or rape, in both sexual assault and rape it is forced physically regardless of what you do.

He did a lot of different things, a lot of what you described, some of what I described as well, and even drugging women and physically raping them. The guy was a bonafide piece of s*** sexual predator in every sense of the word.
