I would, there is a lot more to relationship then just sex. IMHO the best things about relationship have nothing to do with sex.

If you mean deferring intercourse but walking the bases otherwise, it's workable. Total abstinence? Unworkable. A fact of life is that if you want to keep and maintain an exclusive relationship with any red blooded guy, you are going to have to make him cum by some manner. If he doesn't cum, he will go.

Porn and fapping can be a substitute. but connecting intimately is central to a relationship in my view.

Spending time together, going for walks, laughing. Date nights etc. true intimacy is sharing your hearts with each other, build trust and closeness

I won't be sarcastic or dismissive. But here it is. Men are wired to need sexual intimacy, almost like a drug addiction, from our prehistoric roots. "Civilization" can suppress that desire but does not stop it biologically. In the past, men were culturally required to abstain from sexual intimacy with their "betrothed" until marriage. This does not mean they abstained. Many secured sexual intimacy from mistresses and sporting girls. And of course, there was also masturbation if nothing else was available. To me, it is a valid choice for a female partner to keep sexuality "at home" than let it play itself out. Which would you prefer? Give me a handjob once a week or let me buy intercourse from a prostitute. It is naive (at 39?) to believe that going for walks, laughing and "sharing your hearts with each other" is adequate to build trust and closeness. That takes a physical connection.

It doesn’t mean it can’t be done. Hell, we were wired from birth to take what we want, but with the proper training from our caregivers, we ask for what we want now. It’s the same with sex. Nobody really learned to suppress their urges because they can just go masturbate in their bedroom starting from a young age usually done in secret

You’re wrong. It doesn’t just take a physical connection to feel close. Don’t you have close friends? I’m sure you don’t screw their brains out in order to feel close do you? Lmao

It doesn’t mean it can’t be done. *But why should it? I see no valid reason not to include some degree of sexual intimacy into an exclusive, committed relationship. "You’re wrong" *By what objective standard? By MY standard, the only one that matters, I am right. If our standards match, we have harmony. If they don't, we look elsewhere... no hard feelings. The Creator gives us free will. It doesn’t just take a physical connection to feel close. *It does for me. That's all I care. Just because you don't like my view doesn't make me wrong. Don’t you have close friends? I’m sure you don’t screw their brains out in order to feel close do you? *If I am, in your view, to see a romantic interest as equal to the guys I watch football with, I see the core of our disagreement Lmao? *You are free to do that. But my view in return is **face palm**. Lonely days and nights are headed your way. But stick with it. Ya never know.

My girlfriend is pregnant. We've had very little sex over last 6 months. I find it really tough, not that i make anything of it. Not sure what i see is the point in waiting that long for no real reason. If someone didn't trust me after a few months then i'd question where things were going

Why would you do that? Just want to be sure they learn how to master bate? I could recommend marriage before sex. That is always best, but what you are thinking about only proves you have a very low sex drive and your relationship is doomed right from the start. Maybe you should join a convent.
