I won't be sarcastic or dismissive. But here it is. Men are wired to need sexual intimacy, almost like a drug addiction, from our prehistoric roots. "Civilization" can suppress that desire but does not stop it biologically. In the past, men were culturally required to abstain from sexual intimacy with their "betrothed" until marriage. This does not mean they abstained. Many secured sexual intimacy from mistresses and sporting girls. And of course, there was also masturbation if nothing else was available. To me, it is a valid choice for a female partner to keep sexuality "at home" than let it play itself out. Which would you prefer? Give me a handjob once a week or let me buy intercourse from a prostitute. It is naive (at 39?) to believe that going for walks, laughing and "sharing your hearts with each other" is adequate to build trust and closeness. That takes a physical connection.
It doesn’t mean it can’t be done. Hell, we were wired from birth to take what we want, but with the proper training from our caregivers, we ask for what we want now. It’s the same with sex.
