@Ooohyeahhhh Pybic hair does function in health because it helps to provide protection from friction, irritation, and infection. But for me personally, I have sensitive skin, and I get rashes and yeast infections easily if I shave my pubis hair. So it is extra important for me just to trim. Others may shave and still be perfectly healthy, but not me.

@Ooohyeahhhh Pubic hair DOES keep you healthy- it serves the health functions that I previously listed. For everyone. But that doesn't mean that everyone who chooses to shave will be unhealthy. It just slightly increases their risk.
