I just realized from the anon who said he thinks homosexuality is an abomination that I phrased it badly. I guess homophobia is a fear of homosexuality, but what I really meant was, do you guys know anyone who has a serious issue with gay people?

i don't know if I am but I just feel uncomfortable when a gay guy is next to me. but I guess its all good as long as they don't allow marriage in every state. but the thing with me is that I still find it hard to belive that a guy can love another guy or a girl can be emotionally attached to some other girl. despite all the things I've heard its just unbelievable
What makes it unbelievable? If you think that's unbelievable, then you could say that: Let's say you're not attracted to blacks. You could say that you find it unbelievable that other guys are attracted to black women. I don't see what's unbelievable about homosexuality... Oh, and also, why don't you want all states to allow gay marriage?

I am homophobic. I would not want my son or brother, or any other male in my life who I am very close to to be gay. therefore I consider myself homophobic...same is true for the lesbian or bisexual lifestyle. I'm pro straight.

It's not a choice hahaha. I'm actually so surprised that people think it's a choice. Homosexuals are often oppressed. You think they want to be? I know a really amazing woman who's lesbian, and she's been through a lot. She didn't choose for that to happen. It just turned out she was homosexual, without any decision making or anything.

That doesn't make sense. Is it evolutionarily advantageous to have blond hair rather than black hair? No. Does that mean it's a bad thing? Not at all. Also, most mutations (yes, they are called gene mutations, because they are changes, not necessarily bad, not necessarily good) don't make a difference, some are hindrances, some are advantageous. They are not part of "instinct", they just are. I'm sure you didn't choose to have a certain dimple in your cheek. That doesn't mean it's bad.

You don't understand. Just because something isn't evolutionarily advantageous, doesn't mean it's a choice. Your logic makes absolutely no sense whatsoever.

I wouldn't, because I believe sexual activities should be special, and if they happen they should mean a lot. Adding an extra person makes it purely just for the sex and I doubt all three people would share a really special bond (that's why I think you should have sex - because you share a special, close bond with your partner).

I can handle two hot girls kissing each other for a whole second but when it gets sloppy wet and goes on for three or more seconds, it's disgusting. Yes, I'm homophobic.
Uh well my best friend...she actually became distant with me and stopped talking to me cause I called her "baby" and she said that it made her feel "uncomfortable". I was like wtf. But we've worked things out and now we're OK with each other but damn.

My dad, he is 40 or 41 or something. I'm not that close to him, but he has a serious problem with gay people.
I think that a lot of people are not hardcore homophobes, but they might still be uncomfortable with the idea of gay people. I don't have any friends that are gay and it is something that I support ideologically, but don't actually have any real life experience with. If one of my friends came out to me or if I had two gay friends who were dating I would be a little uneasy about the situation, but I would try to get past it and keep an open mind. Its more out of unfamiliarity than anything else.

My sister is extremely uncomfortable around anyone having any sort of relationship with someone of the same gender. She's 12. I think my dad is too, but he won't admit it.

I'm not sure if using psychopaths is a good way to argue it... I'm fine with homosexuals but... comparing them to psychopaths isn't great. I know that you where not saying that they are the same but using it defend your point means either you're saying that killing people or wanting to kill people is OK ooor...Being or being gay is wrong.
