Embarrassing chlamydia?

I think I might have chlamydia (maybe not, but I am panicking). I want to see the gynaecologist, but I have never visited before. I am embarrassed to go there for the first time with an STD. How do I deal with this smoothly?

  • You need to go to the gynecologist so he/she can give you the correct medicine so you can get better. This isn't something you can just handle on your own. Luckily, if you go to the gynecologist, you can get medication and make a full recovery since chlamydia goes away with antibiotics.

Gynecologists see this stuff all the time so there's no reason to be embarrassed. It's better to go and get treated than to keep trying to deal with this yourself. I promise you, the gynecologist will not judge you, he/she will just want to help you.

So, my advice, call and get the next available appointment. The sooner you get this taken care of, the better it will be. I wish you the best of luck:)

  • Go down to the clinic and get an STD check. I get one every few months or so, it's no biggie. The test will give you the results, negative or positive for anything and the professionals will handle it from there, it's part of their job to go about it smoothly. If you do test positive, a round of Antibiotics should do the trick which is just a simple prescription, nothing more. Remember any doctor has probably seen worse than a case of the Clap.

  • What makes you think you have it?

Did the guy (or girl) tell you (s) he has it? Or heard someone else say it?

Because Chlamydia is the Silent STD..
Most if not all people never know they have it until they go see a gynecologist.

    Shows no visible symptoms.

But you need to go to find out it's an STD that can be cured with medication but if you wait to long it turns into one that's way worse.

    • A day or two after the intercourse with a guy I have never had sex before i felt a burning sensation while peeing and kept feeling an urge to use the bathroom. The sensation still lasts after a couple of days (it is better tho). I googled the symptomes and it could be uti (urinal tract infection) but chlamydia also has simillar symptomes apparently. He didn't tell me he had any illnesses, but he has had many (we are talking hundreds) sexual partners before and that scares me. Also his penis had a strange smell...

    • Oh well I wish you thw best and good luck.

  • The gynos not gonna judge you, hon. Think about what they look at all day lol they've definitely seen worse and had to deal with way worse than someone with chlamydia... Just be totally honest with them and try not to be nervous, you'll be fine. I actually had chlamydia in my throat a couple years ago (okay, definitely not my proudest moment lol) and one batch of strong antibiotics wiped it out

  • Look going to the ob/gyn has to be done. Yes it may be a bit embarrassing but you have to take care of your body. The doctor is a professional and has seen it all before. Please go because you don't want to deal with an std without care.

  • one of my lady friend had herpes she boldly consulted her parents and went to the doctor and is under medication she is doing fine you should deal with it too in the same manner

  • He's a professional: HE will deal with it smoothly.

  • Just go and get checked. A doctor will not judge you and it is no big deal.

  • You better go before you get pelvic inflammatory disease. It's caused by untreated std's. Also, if u keep guessing and waiting you will wind up sterile and unable to have children. Just go who cares about people judging you, you need to be concerned about your health right now fuck everything else.

  • Gynaecologists see this kind of stuff all the time, yours will not be an exceptional case to them. It's their job and they aren't going to judge you for anything if that's what you're worried about.
