Well, my first serious boyfriend (I dated him from age 15 to age 21) didn't have much body hair (like, no chest hair and the only stomach hair he had was a relatively small "treasure trail"). At that time, I really preferred unhairy guys.
I started dating a new guy who I would say was more moderately hairy. It didn't really bother me, but I felt like I would prefer it if he was less hairy. He knew about my preference and decided to shave (I didn't ask him to, he just decided to). I actually hated it when he shaved. It looked really strange for me to see him without hair, and when it would start to grow back in, it was really prickly and not that nice to be skin-to-skin. I prefer him in his "natural state" and I've grown to like hairy chests on men.
That said, I don't find it attractive if a guy is so hairy that it looks like he's wearing a sweater. It wouldn't stop me from dating a guy I liked, but its not my preference as far as attractiveness goes.0 1 0 0agree with you...we very hairy guys are always in loose situation...we cannot wax/shave huge amounts of hairs without looking weird ...and we cannot remain natural and expect to look attractive. W always loose...lolzz.
To selfishstars, to be clear, when you say the guy shaved it and it grew out all prickly, do you mean straight razor shave or electric razor shave?
I think he used a straight razor, but I don't remember for sure.
I think the reason a lot of guys wax, shave is to show off more muscle definition. Also, I've heard guys say they like how it feels better. A lot of women prefer the look that comes on the man they're most attracted to at the time. Its like, if you were hot for a blond, you might notice a lot of hot blondes until you become super attracted to a brunette and then notice a bunch of hot brunettes who remind you of her. Also, sometimes women get frustrated that guys opt for not doing any personal grooming, but we must be meticulous in our habits.

11 1My vote is for the hairless chest. I feel like with the electric razor and the stubble, it scratches. Much like leg hair when let go for a few days. It's not much fun to want to rub a nice smooth leg and get stabbed instead.
So, if you're only willing to shave it with the electric razor, I'd just leave it alone and keep your chest hair. A lot of women love it.1 1 0 2I don't like the shaved effect. I like a chest that has hair (manly not like a little boy) I just don't want to hack up a fur ball if you know what I mean lol
2 2 0 0hack up a fur ball lol
Maybe it's because us women are so obsessed with making ourselves hair-free zones, it's kind of brainwashed us that that is the best way to be and we've carried it over to males. I don't mind some hair on a guy's chest, I'm not saying I wouldn't be with a man who has that (I prefer dark haired guys so obviously that's common) but I just PREFER it when there isn't any. For me build and height is more important really.
0 1 0 0ahh., thanks for your input! You make a good point =)
Well, 36 year old female here and the less hair on a man's body the better! I also like short or shaved hair on their heads too! The bloke with the most gorgeous body that I've been with had no hair on his body and shaved hair on his head, real turn on! :) So I don't fit the trend you've noticed (though I do go for younger guys anyway).
0 0 0 0Ahh, the exception to the rule =) hehe. Well just from your pic you look about 25 so dating younger guys makes sense =P
Aww thanks for that! Made my day! :)
I think a man should be hairy, but not making his own sweater ;) so C or B
0 0 0 0Not a fan of body hair either...it irritates and kind of disgusts me a bit too...
1 0 0 0yes, I love it.
0 0 0 0women like shaved chests for the same reason men like women with no pubic hair. Both are completely natural but some people like the prepubescent look.. Maybe they can't handle a real woman/man. (Though I understand not wanting a mouth full of hair!)
Possibly, people are just attracted to features of a certain ethnicity (like their own). I'm Italian as well and I like Italian features:)
Ya I'm the same way, I'm Italian as well and just love brunette or black haired white girls, kinda shortish hair. It's odd because I'm blond, but blond girls aren't so attractive to me (unless its like bleach blond or like a yellow blonde... its just dirty blond is not so attractive). I also like pale girls, but that's probably cause I have a thing for goth chicks ;)
I'd say C
0 0 0 0hair = testosterone = manliness
2 1 0 0shaving is too high maintenance, be a man ffs lol
well I guess you mean being a man means not grooming yourself? what the hell? as far as I'm concerned the only purpose in dressing up to look nice as guys is for girls to become attracted to you
The most I would do to the chest area would be to wax, shaving will f*** you up, razor bumps, ingrown hairs, acne, rashes, razor burns, stubble
It doesn't matter; who the man is matters.
