Girls: do you prefer sensitive guys or machos?

if you had to choose between a macho and a sensitive guy, which one would you pick? (I know most girls prefer a guy "in the middle", but I want to know which one of the 2 you prefer.) are you more into the james blunt/jonas brothers type of guy or are you more into the vin diesel/eminem type of guy?

So you want him to act all hard in front of your female friends. you probably want to show them how sexy and manly he is. you think: "don't mess with me. my boyfriend is stronger than your boyfriend na na nana na na.... my boyfriend could beat up your boyfriend and your dad at the same time... na na nana na na... he is so much tougher than all the other guys.... na nana na nana na...." haha... is that the reason? am I right? if not, why does he have to act like a macho in public?
No no no no no no! lol When in front of my friends and other guys I want him to be macho because I want him to scare away any guy even thinking about messing me, or anyone else for that matter. I personally need that security. Its not for a bragging right. And not just to act tough, my guy better have the muscle to back it up. I never date a guy I can throw, or can't take a punch. (I don't beat my guy by the way, I just want a 'man') But I want him to be sensitive at times too.

I myself am a pretty apathetic person. I've dated both sensitive and macho, while I don't like either of these extremes (the best is truly in the middle), I would choose macho.
I'm not a touchy feely person. I don't want my boyfriend crying because he had a bad day or being upset over small things that I wouldn't fuss over.

don't really try to be either- if you try to be sensitive you will just come across as needy or creepy and if you try to be macho, you can seem over controlling. I guess I prefer sensitive but always masculine.

Well like liquidlithium I too have a strong personality. I need someone who would be able yo handle that. and I'm not a sap myself, and I'm not a very sensitive girl, so when guys are too sensitive for me, it'll drive me crazy. but truthfully, I shudnt really talk because my current boyfriend, although doesn't quite fit either description, is more on the soft side. but every other guy I dated was very macho.
I want a nice normal guy.
Normal/average guys are lame. don't you want someone special? and what is your definition of a "nice normal guy"?
I want someone who makes me smile and laugh and who thinks I'm some kind of wonderful. I want them to challenge me to be my best and to console me when I need it. I want to be loved, and I want to love him and reciprocate everything. I think it's normal to want this.

i would pick sensitive :) well actually ill say in the middle, cause EVERYTHING has to be in moderation, but since you said either or lol, I pick sensitive, id rather have a guy who shows his emotions and shares things with me than a guy who doesn't, my dads sensitive, and I always said I want a guy just like him,

I think it's important for a man to have a good balance of both. I don't think any girl wants a bossy and male-chauvinist pig or an over-sentimental sissy...
Sensitive, because once the initial attraction to macho guys wears off they're usually just assholes.
