Guys, why do you lie about your penis size?

i often see questions on here that ask guys what the size of their penis is. and most guys swear that their penis is 7+ plus inches. but I read that the majority of the population is about 5 inches and only 2% of the population is above that size. so why does it seem like every guy in that 2% is on this website? when ever a guy tells his penis size I automatically subtract two inches from what he says because I heard that most guys add two inches to their real size.

I never lie about my penis size what is the point. I am 5 inch when I am errect and 3.5 inch soft
I dont lie about it, I wish it was bigger but im not going to lie.
That's why I never tell. I don't lie, it's always assumed that you're lying, and nobody needs to know other than my girlfriend anyway.
Well it must be because they're insecure. The 2 inch subtraction rule is probably pretty accurate which is very unfortunate for those of us guys that don't lie haha. The other unfortunate thing is that there are guys that are 7+ inches and the guys that lie ruin it because a lot of girls tend to think that like 8 inches is average, even though only about 1% of guys are that big.

Guys either measure it wrong, intentionally being misleading, or in denial. Most guys are between 5-7 inches.. that's a fact. I think something like 85% of guys fit into that category which means that the rest of that 15% are both below or above that average.
I think most guys cheat and measure from the underside of their penis half way down their sac. I'm 5.75 inches long and my girth is exact average. So pretty much my penis is exactly average. I wish it was bigger but at least it isn't small. I don't like my penis for other reasons but the two girls that have felt it seemed to enjoy it. I've never lied about it because nobody ever directly asked. If a girl asked I would either tell her I won't answer or I would be honest depending on how well I knew her and my mood.
