My urologist is a woman. I have to see her every few weeks. I started seeing her because she was the only doctor in my healthcare network who was trained in handling my issue, so I didn’t have a choice to see anybody else.
I was nervous at first, but I don’t get shy. I was merely worried about offending somebody else with a surprise boner. However after countless times seeing her, her nurses, her operating assistants, and even at times her curious interns just asking me if they can observe, I can say pretty confidently that women who work in that specialty have one thing in common and it’s that they’re all super rad people. The women who choose to work in such a sensitive environment will typically have awesome bedside manner and a wicked sense of humor. It’s practically required in order to keep things light and patients feeling comfortable. So I don’t feel awkward at all when seeing a woman for care anymore. They’ve made it easier on me than I ever imagined possible.

But my mom thinks that male doctors are more gentle when it comes to examining that, so she recommends that when it’s time for that to happen, for me to see a doctor of the opposite gender of myself.
Yes, I've been to both male and female gynocologists.
Not yet, but I'm sure it will happen some time in my life
