I had a discussion with my girlfriend about how many people we have slept with in our life. I have slept with nine girls over a eight year period since I lost my virginity. Five of the girls I was in a relationship with at the time, two of the girls were at spring break and I never saw them again and I had sex with a prositute once. She on the other after some coaxing admitted to me that she has had sex with ninety-three guys over a eight year period not including the three years we have been together and she is two years younger than me but also lost her virginity at 14 vs me at 15 years old. I was shocked and told her that she slept with almost a different guy every month. She said when she first had sex she wanted to have sex with everyone but he has changed now.

Okay, first off your numbers don't match-- if she is two years younger than you and you lost your virginity one year later than her you should have 9 year span of time or she should have should have a seven year time span. So, I'm a tad confused unless your birthdays are wacky and you're really 18 months apart or something.

Either way 93 guys is A LOT, and you've been together for 3 years so... 93 guys in 5 years?!? Honestly, if you've been together for three years and you care about her and she hasn't cheated on you this shouldn't matter in terms of your relationship. What should matter is a very frank discussion about sexual health and the possibility that she may have caught something in the past. The few girls I know who have approached higher numbers of sexual partners (anything over 20 for my age) are usually very lost and misinterpreting sex as validation, acceptance or affection. Thus, they crave sex and seek it out regardless of their relationship or lack of one to their sexual partner and rack up high numbers. If she went through a similar stage it might be painful to talk about but, it might help you to accept her numbers and help her though any remaining insecurities. Some people also just like sex, and are not big fans of attachment, so maybe this is her story? Anyway the best thing for you to do is talk to her so you're both on the same page and this doesn't fester.

In relation to you, while your numbers don't raise eyebrows the bit about a prostitute certainly did for me, so neither of you are particularly lily white saints. If she's not incriminating you, I think you should at least approach a discussion with her with an open mind.

WOW that's a hell of a lot. But uh the math doesn't make too much sense to me. You're 18 to 24, and to be on the safe side let's say you're 24. Your girl is 2 years younger than you, so let's say 22. She lost her virginity at 14. 14+8 is 22: that's the 8 year period. But you said not including the 3 years you guys have been with each other... in that case wouldn't it be a 5 year period? We've kind of got conflicting attitudes about it.
