Only three, and I'm 30. I'm fine with it - I was in love with two of them, and the third that I didn't love, but dated for 6 months, was enough to make me realize I just do not enjoy sex with a guy I don't love. Even for the other two that I was in relationships with, I didn't enjoy sex initially. To me, good sex comes from having had time to be with a guy to teach him what gets me off. Seems like guys too often seem to think just climbing on top, putting it in, and sort of pummeling you into the bed for five minutes will get a girl off... at least that's what two out of three did, and all of them had had plenty of years of experience and multiple girlfriends in which they should have/could have learned otherwise. On the other hand, maybe that's just what happens in hookups or first time encounters where people are less comfortable with one another.
I was actually really surprised watching the recent Real World premiere, in which each of the people indicate they've slept with 20-30 people. They're only in their early twenties - seemed like quite a lot to me!
I think in first time encounters, I actually prefer to give/receive oral than have sex. It's not necessarily the intimacy, but rather that it's hard to go wrong in getting a person off with oral...I'm weird though.

Agreed, this is a poll, not a question designed for a theoretical or informative answer. I just think it is really interesting how many people others have slept with and felt the need to explain myself.
Im 18 and I've slept with 37 people. I started having sex when I was 16, then in a serious relationship for a year. so it's a time spand of 2 years but really it's in a year. So 37 people in a year may seem like a lot for a girl. but why should a number contribute to what kind of person you are?
Why is okay for MEN to sleep with how ever many they want? To them a night with a girl is a notch in their belt. They get "brownie points" from their boys (friends). I don't understand why a guy can be a pimp or what ever you want to call it and it's good. but when a girl does the same she's a slut or a whore and gets a bad reputation.

37 people in a year, that's a new partner ever 10 days (slightly more regular) for the entire year. I don't mean to sound prudish, but don't you consider that a bit high? The idea of meeting someone, having sex with them, and then 'breaking up (if there was any relationship in the first place) every 10 days seems rather extreme.
Well it is high, but there were times where is was multiple people... I don't know I may regret it in the future but not now. Hmmmm... Well this question has made me think. That I can remember... I have slept with 8 guys. Yeah I regrett a few but hey life is for living what's the point in living in the past when you no longer have to. I just get on with my life instead of daunting on the past. More than 3 a year is to many. As for an exact number that depends on how old the other person is. I just count 3 for each year(starting at 15) to what there age is. If they are 21 than 18 is the maximum I consider for them to be attractive.(I consider this for both men and women). I have slept with 18 and I'm currently 18 however four times I sort of had no choice and it was with women who were 30+(illegal, like anyone cares...). So I'm currently 2 over my current limit, but I don't intend to be having much sex while I get ready for college so I won't remain a hypocrite for very long. Somewhere between 45-50. I did try to count them all once but found myself remembering a couple more the next day. Most of them were over a 3 year spell but the past is the past. I pause before being sexually active nowadays and tend to try and only remember the great sexual encounters from the past and ignore the bad ones!

I'm not really sure what I said deserved to be disagreed with; this is over a span of about 2 and a half years.
I've been with ~15 girls. I don't regret the number, but there's one or two individuals that I have regrets about, for one reason or another. To me, sex is something that's fun to do, I certainly used to be quite casual about it. In a relationship it's more important, I think it helps tie things together, but it's not the be sll and end all of things.
As much as I agree that sex is fun to do and no real being deal, but it does mean something when your with someone you really love
