Well there are a number of possible explanations.
First, keep in mind that pregnancy tests aren't 100% accurate. It's possible that it was a fluke false-positive.
Second, it's possible to become pregnant without technical intercourse. It's extremely rare, but it can happen that sperm from ejaculation is somehow introduced into the vagina and the odds are defied with conception. This, of course, would require that sexual activity occurred, and that it somehow (through ejaculating in the area or accidentally getting it on your hand and then touching yourself) was actually put near the vagina. If you truly only kissed your boyfriend, this seems out of the question. If there was other sexual activity, think about whether it fit this description.
Most importantly, you should stay alert for other potential signs of pregnancy, such as missing your period, feeling sick in the morning, etc. It may be in your best interest to take another pregnancy test just to be extra safe. It seems ridiculous to even flirt with the thought that you could somehow be pregnant, but it's something serious enough to justify extra precautions.
The last possibility, of course, is that you are the modern day Mary and you are in fact carrying the offspring of God Himself, soon to produce the second coming of Jesus and bring upon the apocalypse. I vote that we rule that one out.

My sister had to take 3 tests of that really advanced one and it said "unknown" twice, so it could be a error
It could also be if your taking birth control to lighten your period that could throw it off.
Its more than likely that it was just an error, no big deal, but if your period is regular yet, and you miss one...

Mucking around? Kind of need your definition of that phrase. If you have never had intercourse and/or never had a man's ejaculate on or near your vulva/vagina, then it's got to be a false positive. But sperm are really sneaky little guys. If, for instance your boyfriend ejaculated, got it on his hand and touched/fingered you (or anything like this scenario) it's a long shot but it IS possible...rare but possible. If you haven't been exposed, you can't be pregnant. But if you have, I suggest you go to a doctor or local clinic and have a test run there.
Well I heard you can get pregnant and be a virgin, but that's if you fool around and get come near your vagina. You need to either have the penis on you and have come on it or you need to have sex and have the guy nut.

Alright, don't take this into offense, but, you are over exaggerating this. A pregnancy test isn't always right, worst comes to worse you will have to take another test. If you are a virgin, you have no reason to be worried. So...just take another test..simple.

it could be hormones too. you just might be like high on progesterone naturally so it gives you a f*cked up HPT result. you can confirm with a doctor I guess, but HIGHLY UNLIKELY.^_^
Well I would say you misread the test is most likely, or you got a defective test, or you have done more than just kiss. It is not at all impossible to be a virgin and pregnant. For example, if you were playing with the boyfriend and he ejaculated. If even a drop of his semen got on your vulva, it is possible for it to make it's way in and your pregnant. Being a virgin is no guarantee. You have to be very careful of contact with semen or you could get a nasty surprise.

Chances are you either misread it or it was a false positive. The ONLY way possible you could be truly pregnant is if his precum or sum somehow ended up in your vagina or near the area.
certain medicines contain the hormone HCG which is what a pregnancy tests is testing for it is just a false alarm hunny you can't be pregnant!

Not possible you need both the male sperm and the female egg to conceive. It is not possible unless you injected yourself with sperm which I doubt you did... Those pregnancy tests are faulty they always give false alarms ignore it...
