I think it's fine as long as you don't force them to be in the room with you while you do it, or do anything with them.

I do it, but it's at night when he's asleep in the corner. I still throw pillows and blankets over and in front of him so he doesn't see and do I don't wake him up lol. He doesn't care because he's wrapped up in blankets and is in bliss
