My throat hurts a few days after I gave my first bj?

So, a few days ago I gave head for the first time, and yeah it great, lol. But yesterday I woke up and my left tonsil is swollen and yesterday I didn't feel too good. I was sick to my stomach. this morning I woke up with just a sore throat/left tonsil. I feel like I just got some sort of cold virus and it's a strange coincidence. But I read about possibilities of stds (he's a virgin but that doesn't always mean he doesn't have an std) and/or mono. Any ideas?

Just give it time. What are the chances your throat hurts after you give a bj. It has to be from the bj. You probably just stretched it a little bit or something.
