Nobody likes black women?

as a black female I feel that it is much harder for us to find a guy to date or you automatically think someone of another race/ethnic group isn't attracted to you. personally I have NEVER been hit on my black men because at my university 95% of them date white or latin women (which I'm fine with) but I am always getting hit on by white men. I feel like stereotypes that we are loud, fat, short/nappy hair, rude or ugly is what prevents men from approaching or getting know us. what do you think? why is it harder for black women to find a man verses women from other racial groups?

  • If black women were rich, everyone would have fallen at their feet!

  • As a white male I feel it is harder to get an keep the attention of a white girl due to the influx of interest in black and Hispanic men. Apparently the white male is in 3rd now when it comes to the eyes of the white woman. Stereotypes are everywhere unfortunately and I don't see it going away any time soon. Everyone now has a "standard" or a certain level they will only date at, of course with the option to "trade up". It's kind of sickening. What happened to just being attracted to someone and working with it? I mean I don't go out and say- I will only look at and talk to 5'2" 115lb white girls with brown hair and c cups, it's just stupid. But again, there is so much emphasis on a "type" of person these days. I happen to be very happy in my relationship, but makes me wonder why there are so many single people out there, hmmm.

    • i agree with everything you said. I do believe steroetypes can make people want to date others along with not wanting to date them. people have a lot of preferences and make their standards far too high where nobody can achieve that. whether its body size, penis size, income amounts, etc

    • Everything today is looks, status and money oriented. If you aren't hot, have an executive level job and a large income, you're in the back of the line. It's all superficial. I have a good friend of mine whos absolutely gorgeous and dates a guy who is a shift manager at Dunkin Donuts and she gets ragged on all the time for it. The guy is in work at 4am and puts in 10 hours every day there. The thing is though, he's a GREAT guy and I am so happy for them. Treats her like gold. Who cares otherwise

  • I think that darker skin and black features such as the nose can be unattractive. There is a spectrum of attractive skin which includes the light skin black people. Most desired are tan. Some black guys like black women though

    • as you know I'm black but I don't have "black features" my lips are small and thin and my nose isn't thick so not everyone who is dark skinned has so called "black features". I have white and latina friends who have larger lips then me so I think it depends on the person and their genetics rather than the ethnic group as a whole

    • big lips are sexy though unlike a big nose lol

    • well I mean that since I'm black you would think I would have "black features" but them being white and latin have "darker features" than me. that's all I'm trying to say lol
