Should I circumcise my son or not?

He'll be born soon... My husband wants him circumcised just like himself. I think it's awfully wrong to want to cut a baby, because you are cut. I figured, it would be best to let him decide later on in life if he wants to go through the procedure.

  • up to you but as an uncircumcised guy i think im better off.

  • You are completely right. If you don't have him molested, he can always choose to do it later. The other way around doesn't work quite as well.

That's not the only argument against it but it's one that works.

  • It's up to you, but it's easier to do it at birth then later

    • That's why you don't do it neither at birth nor later, lol

  • Getting it done later on in life is much worse than doing it now. Do some research on that but I'm pretty sure it's worse

    • That's why you take Choice C) which is that you don't do it at all lol

  • Yes you should. It's a lot easier to wash , and can help prevent infections. As a baby it takes much less to heal than as an adult

    • I have had my foreskin for over 30 years and it is perfectly clean. Do you not have showers where you live?

    • @zoooot I'm sure it is , but it's HARDER to clean. I dated a guy who wasn't , and he had a hard time pulling the skin back to wash.

    • I once met a guy who was deaf in his left ear. Should we remove all left ears on babies now? You met a guy who had something wrong with him. A simple medical procedure could have permanently fixed him. It is not an argument for mutilation.

  • Do, it. It is more healthy and easier to clean yourself. If I was uncut, I would have had it done as an adult.

    • I wish we had down votes again.

  • It's unnecessary if there are no medical reasons. But it's much better to perform a circumcision during the early years because the wound heals much faster and the skin will grow with the penis. A circumcision performed during adulthood will take much longer to heal. Over 3 months... And it's quite painful.

    • Nothing like the permanent scar and chafing though if you're unlucky and they rip off more than what can support your glans growing

  • Yes.
