There is no responsible research that suggests, let alone proves males who are circumcised are immune to cancer. In fact, the 2 tiny studies that suggest to a limited extent that cancer of the penis is linked to circumcision failed completely to establish cause or effect. I suppose you failed to read that in your studies. Did you get got, or are you woman enough to admit your mistake?
Furthermore, there is presently a worldwide campaign to end female circumcision. Supposedly it's brutal, senseless, and misogynistic. Interestingly, female circumcision has been shown to have similar benefits to male circumcision. Similar drawbacks too, but that doesn't really matter, does it? We're only here to protect females from unnecessary mutilation... fuck the boys, right? If you're for male circumcision, you should be for female circumcision. If you're against female circumcision, you should be against male circumcision. Any discrepancy is pure ignorance or flagrant sexism, and nothing less.

Suposedly that makes it look better, makes it cleaner, and stops masturbation. The same selling points as the most popular form of male genital mutilation (circumcision).
And both have a rhigh risk of complications. People die from both every year.
Fundamentlly its a cosmetic proceadure being performed on a child who can't consent, to remove a part of the body which has a purpose for no real benefit.
FGM and MGM on children should be outlawed, if people want to do that to themselves as consenting adults is a different matter (though there are still obvious concerns regarding parental preasure etc).
As for penile cancer: Its very rare and circumcision doesn't stop you from getting it.
Because it’s done on someone that is unable to choose for themselves if they want their body mutilated or not. It can impact sex life negatively because of the constant exposure of the glans, result then in lack of sensitivity. The two main reasons really.

Circumcision, on average, makes a boy healthier. The American Academy of Pediatrics and the World Health Organization, both say the benefits of circumcision outweigh the risks. That circumcision helps keep boys from getting bladder infections and kidney infections. Preventing these infection prevent serious illness, and saves lives. Circumcisions also helps prevent HIV infections. There is a lot of false information going about, spread by people who are against circumcision. Bottom line, the medical science and research, support that circumcision helps prevent serious diseases.
Negative. There are only 2 studies showing links between circumcision and cancer, HIV and other infections. Neither conclusively indicates causality, period. I'm blown away that capitalistic medical organizations would support unnecessary and profitable medical practices. Aren't you? I suppose these same organizations are performing FREE procedures to save lives based on that underwhelming research? No? Surprise! Also, similar research suggests similar "benefits" for female circumcision, yet the worldwide campaign is all but unanimously against that. Have you asked yourself why? circumcision makes sex worse. the foreskin adds a layer of physical stimulation (for both partners by the way) and by cutting it off, you make sex worse for the woman but especially for the man...
circumcised men will say that they enjoy sex like any other man but really they don't have the comparison. most who got adult circumcision are not a fan of it.

Maybe some people think it is like cosmetic surgery. I would not circumsize my future son (if I will have a son 😄), unless its done for medical reasons. For the referense, I was circumsized about 1,5 years ago (for medical reasons).
A lot of people consider it an unnecessary procedure that puts the baby boy at risk for no real benefit. Things can always go wrong in operations, and recovery is painful. Also, because it happens to babies, a lot of people are concerned about the children not being able to consent to the surgery.

I'm calling bullshit about the preventing penile cancer bit. How common is penile cancer anyway? From what I can gather it's very rare.
But to answer your question, because there is absolutely no need for it unless it's done for medical reasons. This notion that it's more hygienic is nonsense, simply washing regularly will cover that basis. Also, since it's usually done on infants, then the patient isn't getting a say on the matter... when it's nobody else's choice to make.
Because it's genital mutilation of a small baby that doesn't have any choice, it's wrong and disgusting. Whether you have or haven't got your foreskin doesn't make any difference in whether you get penile cancer, Aids, STD's or HIV. If I suggested all baby girls be "circumcised" everyone would be disgusted and be outraged. So it's disgusting to "circumcise baby girls but not baby boys, seems a bit sick and sexist to me.
I was under the impression that it does affect other diseases but in most places that they practice male circumcision are clean enough that they don't really have to worry.
