Why do girls cover their nipples for topless photos?

They are already basically topless yet they cover their nipples thinking its the most exposed part? The nipple is like a small portion of a girls boob, why do they feel like a tiny nipple is being so exposed? Some will take their shirts and bras off but won't show their nipples? I just don't get it, is it still a private part? Your already exposing 98% of your boobs. Girls, is this a sensitive area to show or something? It's like a guy coving the tip of his penis and showing the rest, that's how I see it.

They cover them for the same reason that you would cover your penis or scrotum. Society (especially here in America) puts so much stress on the nude body or certain body parts being sexual in nature. I am a frequent lover of nude beaches/camping/nudist activities that it does not phase me or those I know. It is similar in nature to how there is so much BS in America about females breastfeeding in public. They link sucking and boobs to sex instead of the act of a mother nourishing her child.

I've never sexted so I wouldn't know...But I personally have big areolas & nipples and that's generally not appealing, so to speak...so I guess I'd cover them? I'd never sext--bad idea

I think it's being the nipple is usually what determines good boobs from bad boobs. You know, "Oh she has she really weird nipples", "Her nipples are really big", things like that, little insecurity. You could also by pushing against your nipple, push up your boobs

I think it's because the boob with the nipple covered is not usually considered nudity. That is why there are so many magazines showing girls topless but their nipples are covered and it's there on the magazine rack for any little kid to see.

Because if she is covering her nipples, the picture can be shown in many places without any criticism. If her nipples are exposed, that's considered as "nudity". That picture can only be shown in certain adult-only places. Advertisers want as many people as possible to see the picture without any criticism.

All the reasons here are mere BS. Everyone's trying to justify that being 98% nude is better than 100% nude. I remain clueless why the world is having men more covered than a women. Men have full dresses while women have half or less. I consider this as a bias against women and this makes me feel all this equal rights things is a BS because women are somehow made to feel comfortable in short clothes in today's world in fact they have become more man dominated and they are not even realizing it.

maybe they feel the nipple should be hidden , some might also have nipple piercings which aren't exactly unheard of anymore which they could be hiding . I think in general they feel nipples are more sexual than rest of boob
