Porn actors deserve respect in my opinion.
There're some points here that I want to resolve before going on.
Most of the answers are based on the assumption that they're only female, and that's obviously not true :/ (heterosexual productions take at least 1 man and 1 women, lesbian productions are slightly more than gays ones, but it is balanced since usually "group" videos take more guys than girls)
As women are objectified through porn also men are.
But theirs is actually a job. They have to make picture-perfect (in the best cases) movies. They have to study their moves a lot and have to retry scenes many times. It is not like "okay, let's have some fun while someone takes a video of us". There's an actual script many of the times and for a full scene it can take up (I guess) to 5 hours.
What they do isn't enjoyable as sex, it is actually a job.
Actors have to keep their dick erected for hours and what they have to do is often tiring.
Girls often have the easy way in fatigue, but they often have to do extreme things (that might actually hurt them) and usually work for more hours than men (they do all the preparation and photography sets before usually), hence they earn more.
Pornstars have to keep their fans in a supercompetitive industry, and I guess a normal one do not earn a lot like we use to think (I suppose they're on 2000-3000 $ per month). But it's just a supposition, the source is missing.

No they dont deserve respect. They do deserve fair treatement in terms of rights and humanitarian grounds. But personally , no respect comes from within for them because they had already compromised their character for easy money. I've seen people working hard for their families day and night and earn 1/10 of trm whatthey just do in a shoot of 30 minutes

I generally respect them because they don't disrespect me or other people, I do that with any other person no matter what occupation they have. Treat others the way you want to be treated, a basic level of respect.

Porn sells and porn stars make money at it. For some it's lack of education. For some, they love doing it. And for some I think they get trapped in to it and eventually feel it's all they can do

I think all people deserve to be treated with dignity and respect. If people aren't harming anyone I just let them be.

I do agree that porn stars deserve more respect than literally any single politician we have currently. But I still look down on them. People are bored in our society and bored people look to sex to fill their holes - literally and metaphorically. But this erodes at our moral character and makes us more likely to accept further depredations until before you know it, nobody is feeling fulfilled or good about themselves because we all live in this limbo void where good behavior is no longer rewarded nor is bad behavior ever punished. People don't aspire to better themselves in such a society, stop holding anything sacred, which translates into worth fighting for or defending, which soon falls into decadence and hedonism, then apathy, and finally ruin. Look at literally every empire in world history. Whether you like to admit it or not, shame is a very powerful and effective behavioral modulator. If you take the sting out of shame, you really have nothing else to motivate someone. When left to our own devices, human beings are lazy, greedy, entitled, selfish dickholes. We aren't going to aim high for the sake of aiming high unless the pressure is on.
