Why do some women choose abortion over adoption?

I'm pro-choice, but never understood this need for abortion instead just giving adoption the baby away for adoption.

17 11Look, I have a lot of people in my family that were adopted. The psychological damage that it has caused them is great. Lots of adopted children are very happy and lived great lives. But many times have I seen an adopted person suffer from depression, substance abuse, and a slew of other things.
Vain reasons, lack of money, substance abuse, prostitution etc. are all reasons a woman might choose an abortion. Some of the reasons aren't exactly justifiable but those are their reasons.
Everyone has there own reasons for things... Once I thought I was pregnant and my option was abortion. Not because I don't wants kids, not because of money issues.. Honestly, because of my religion I chose abortion. The type of family I come from, not being a married and pregnant is a disgrace. So the only way to hide what I've been doing, I would have chose abortion.
Some women believe it's the only option. whether it be for work, or family, or even religion. But I don't think some women realize how many families there are in the world that can't have their own children and are waiting patiently for a baby that needs that home. I think it's just fear, and quick decisions made because of the fear.
