It's actually not mutilation. Mutilation is cutting off a body part. Cutting off extra skin is not mutilating somebody. I feel bad for the ignorant (not you just, but everyone that says circumcision is mutilation).
I'm not ignorant. This is my belief, whatever you wana call it it's wrong (in my opinion) I wouldn't do it to my sons. It is unnatural. Just learn to clean it right, like any other part of the body, I'm not going to pull out my teeth because I don't want to brush them.lol.. there's a reason for every part of our body, that skin equals many inches of skin as an adult and protects a sensitive organ. That's my belief you can argue all you want but you won't change my mind about this subject.

it's all about what you define as essential, you can live without a lot of body parts(arms, teeth, nose, ears), to me, foreskin is essential to for protecting a bodily organ, just as the outer labia protects the vagina, eyelashes to eyes, etc.. every piece of the human body was created for a reason.

No, removing tonsils is because of the numerous health benefits you get from it. Fewer sore throats and infections. You don't have to remove them, but it helps.
Foreskin serves a purpose, tonsils serve a purpose, If you want to remove parts of your body that's YOUR choice. I wouldn't want my tonsils removed without my consent, and I wouldn't want any other body part removed before I could make my own decision.
That's true. Then, people should be able to make their own decisions about it. So, why are people getting angry at others, saying circumcision is wrong when it's really their own choice to decide? Also, banning it (like they are trying to do in California) is having the state decide for the people that it's wrong. That is immoral, as well. I, like you, think the people should decide for themselves. Because I personally don't think it's wrong.

No I wouldn't. The foreskin is a very important part of the penis and has thousands of nerve endings, which makes sex and masturbation a lot more pleasurable for men. Without the foreskin, the dynamics of the penis is completely changed for good. And I certainly don't buy into the old wives' tales that an uncircumcised penis is dirty and leads to urinary tract infections, which even if it was true can be easily cured with antibiotics, this is not the 17th century anymore.
Girls have just as many, if not more, folds in their vagina as an uncut guy has in his penis and they manage to keep themselves clean, so there's no reason why a guy can't do the same. The truth is that parents who circumcise their sons' penis are just too lazy to teach him how to clean properly himself. And besides, it's not like circumcised guys don't need to clean their penis too.
So considering that over 70% of the world's male population is uncircumcised and doing just fine that way and that circumcision is nothing but a cruel and barbaric procedure that used to be done to prevent young boys from masturbating, I will leave my son's penis just the way it is. It's his body after all and it would be his decision to make if he ever wants to get circumcised later in life.

Another thing to keep in mind is that this is a VERY NEW topic as far as WIDESPREAD SOCIAL DEBATE in America. When I was born, it's just what people did, so it's harder to be pissed at my parents for the choice. But parents of babies being born today will NOT have that excuse and their will be resentment. Is it really worth all of that just to deform your son because you're a woman and you think it looks better or a man and that's how yours is? Uncut is how it's supposed to be. Period.

In some extremely religious and less developed countries (or tribes, I think.) they actually do do a form of circumcision for women. I read it a while back and it said something about sewing certain parts together or cutting them off so that the husband would see the stitches and know she was a virgin for him, or something like that.
Yes you'll be a great mother, teaching your kid that shallow appearances matter more than anything else! That it doesn't matter how awesome a person you are as long as you conform to the looks that are "acceptable" then that's what matters! Clearly a great mother. Yes a lot but not all, there's loads of guys doing 'foreskin restoration' where the skin is pulled over time to make a new foreskin as they didn't want it at birth

YEEESS! I'm thankful that my parents got me circumcised when they did. And no, I wouldn't do it for religious/illogical reasons, I'd do it for hygienic reasons.
Honestly I think a lot of people on here are misinformed about the sensitivity loss of cut guys... it's still very sensitive and has no issues, it reduces the risks of diseases however small that may be, and I've actually read a lot of guys get cut for the performance increase due to loss of a bit of sensitivity

They say it's up to 4 times more insensitive between cut and uncut. Which is why a guy generally will have to push harder or whatnot.

Go online and watch a video of it being done, the whole video. Why shouldn't you, it's not a 'big deal', right? At least if you wait until you're older to have it done, you can receive anesthesia. You can't give that to a newborn because you have no idea how the baby will react to it.
