I can't say, having never been in that situation.
If I met a woman, and I liked her a lot, and we have a lot in common, and start dating, and go out, and I start to have feelings for her, but she then tells me she is either 'in transition' or she is wanting to be a 'shemale', has the person I like really changed, or just my perceptions of 'her' based on her explanation of her physical anatomy.
I would like to think that I am not so shallow, so heartless, that I would just suddenly stop, likeing 'her' finding out that 'she' has a penis.
I would like to think that how I feel for the PERSON, that I KNOW, could trump the social stigmas, the garbage that people say, and I would want to say FCK THEM, and be OK with 'her' and HER penis!!
But like I said, I haven't experienced that, so I can't say what I would actually do!! I would hope that I take the 'high road' and accept, and just love who she is, as a person!

"Shemale" is actually an offensive term. What you are describing is either a cross-dresser (biologically male but dresses as a woman and has female gender expression) or a trans-woman (transgender on hormone therapy, female gender expression, but hasn't had the sex surgery yet).
