Because he thinks it's ok to do so when, personally, I'd assume everyone would be in agreement that's not ok. So all I can say is if you dont want a repeat offence, tell him you were recording the lecture (if it was a lecture online) then say dont ever do it again, that you dont want to get him in trouble but that you also dont want to see what he wants to show.

That maybe a risky move.. but I can't think of how else to solve the problem aside from getting him reported and thrown out.
