Am I too old to wear a bikini?

Question

My body is still is good shape. I enjoy wearing bikinis sometimes rather than one piece. A friend says that a lot of women stop wearing bikinis after 40. I am early 40s. I have been told that I look more like I am in my 30s or younger. Flattery, maybe? How old a person looks is a matter of perception. I have worked on my body and believe me I have the body to wear one. Am I too old to wear a bikini or not? Would a tankini be better or a one piece? In other words, will people talk about me being to old to wear one? My boyfriend says yes.

I say you should wear anything you’re comfortable with as long as it doesn’t affect other people (meaning doing something illegal or otherwise).
I keep myself in good shape and wear clothes most people my age don’t and I get compliments most of the time.

Debbie you’re 41 that’s my moms age she wears a thong bikini. No 41 is not too old @annacarsimama2 is 40 and was just in a bikini calendar. 41 isn’t old at all

I'd say go for it. My opinion is that the decision about wearing a bikini or not shouldn't be tied to age that much, but to shape. So if you're beach body ready, all the more reason to wear it.
