provided your both clean of std's and you have not recently been sick. should be fine without one. unless he does not want to run the risk of getting his dick dirty. but typically you wanna perp for anal by getting the area nice and clean.

however if your doing it without. and you start with anal and end with vaginal. or choose to swap holes a few times. you do run a small risk of a urinary track or other infection. but it is rather uncommon if you perp and clean up for anal. if you choose to swap holes during the sexual encounter. make sure you let him know where to finish. because you due run the risk of pregnancy if he finishes in vaginal.

also let him know if your willing to do things like anal then oral (ass to mouth). either with him washing himself up in between first or not. because you may or may not enjoy the taste afterwards.

There are three reasons why one would use a condom during sex: to prevent pregnancy, to prevent spread of disease, and to prevent or infection.

Obviously pregnancy is not an issue for anal.

If you're sure both partners are healthy, then there's no need for a condom here either. But if the woman is not certain about the health status of the man, she should definitely insist he wear a condom. The woman is the one most at risk because anal tissue is delicate and tiny tears can easily allow exchange of bodily fluids.

With respect to infection, the risk is a urinary tract infection for the man. I have had anal sex with my wife hundreds of times without a condom and have never had an infection, so my sense if this is not much of an issue.

It is a lot safer with a condom. The semen can still drip into the pussy. I don't use one, but I also can't get a girl pregnant and it's harder for me to cum with anal, so I don't want to try it with a condom.
