not on here. im an introvert and have mild anxiety (i overthink a lot, im always tensed and nervous and i fret over stuff i dont have to worry about. I can easily talk to people online, but offline its difficult), i find it hard to make friends offline. There are only 2 people I talk to at school, and they're my best friends. i have a friend online. His name is Tim, and he's from Germany. We're planning to meet after covid is over.

Being a pen pal is a little bit different. You can use e-mail of if you want to be really old school you can use a handwritten letter and stick it in an envelope, put a stamp on it and mail it. It might be good for somebody who has anxiety. You have total control up until the time you send it. You can say and edit anything you want and when you get a reply you can read it over a few times and find hidden things in it.
@exitseven has good advice. I used to send handwritten letters when I was your age. It wad fun! My mom even got me a sealing wax kit which was really fun to melt wax on the envelope and stick a design in it.

Not on here but after having corresponded with my pen pal for 5 years that I met through a random website that I forgot the name of way back when I was 17 we eventually met after she immigrated to this country 2 years ago back in Summer of 2019. Was an interesting experience to come together.
I have never met anyone from here face to face, but there are two who I have talked to on Skype.
I've met a few people on here that I would consider actual friends like we've messaged a lot and talked on the phone but I'd never call them a pen pal though. That's like some old people stuff 😂

@exitseven yeah.. I mean she told me she was getting sick... Around October 2019.. We exchanged long Emails on daily basis.. For months.. She worked in sales and wanted to open her tea shop with variety of tea's from around the world.. November she told me she is going for operation.. In December.. And there is very less chance of survival.. We talked a last few says.. I mailed her on day of operation and kept mailing her every week hoping she would respond but since she didn't responded for a months.. I thought she died.. I sent her a few more mails and stopped.. Almost a year later.. I was overwhelmed by feeling and wanted to say things to someone... And thought why not send it to her.. Assuming she is gone.. And she responded.. 😔
