Are ears a weird erogenous zone?

I absolutely love my ears being nibbled on and picked and kissed and pulled and caressed and played with and touched in anyway. My boyfriend (who is a little naive) has never really heard or had experience with kissing an ear. Is it weird? would he be turned off if I asked him to kiss my ear?
