Superb Opinion

  • I will take the UK as an example with this (non sexual just social interaction).

A lot of guys in real works socialising circa 25-30 do not usually mix with 16 / 17 yr olds.

this often means they do not know how to act around someone younger, as in what’s compatible, that often shows up as being nervous (other reasons to) and shyness.

You also get the same with say a 20 year old girl and a 40 year old guy,

finding a mutual topic of conversation can be awkward.

some topics can be very awkward lol.

  • Of course.
Especially when the girl is younger there's more concern that other's are going to see him negatively.
I was in that situation, I met a girl when she was 16, then when she was 18 she initiated a relationship with me when I was 26. Of course I was nervous and I had good reason to be because her parents didn't like the age gap and that's why it didn't last. So exactly what I was afraid of happened.
I was also nervous because getting with an inexperienced girl like that who you like and who likes you back is the dream result.

What Girls & Guys Said

  • Hmm i can only speculate on other guys opinions. My last serious relationship the girl was 20 and I was 29 lol. I don't feel shy about younger girls. I am a stripper on the side, and I have almost gotten in trouble for a few girls that snuck in that were younger than 18. I most recently had a mother with a 16 year old daughter that was obsessed with trying to get me to sleep with her daughter.

In summary: I AM AFRAID OF GETTING MIXED UP WITH "JAIL BAIT" so I steer clear...

  • Yes I am as long as I´m alone with females.
I don´t want to create a situation where she could build feelings for me because that could end dangerous for me.

    • Sorry haven´t see you´re update. He was probably shy because of the fact that you were under-aged so if something bad had happened it would have been pretty easy for you to get him into jail even if you´re accusation was false.

    • Ohk thanks

  • Guys in their late 20's who are not shy or nervous around girls under 18 should see a shrink.

    • So should female teachers who molest their students

  • Yes it's happen to some boys not all boy's and these boys very loyal to there wife or girlfriend

  • There's a big difference between 16 and 20 year old young women, not to mention that in many places, the 16 or 17 year olds aren't legal for guys in their 20s. Guys don't feel shy around legal age women.

    • Ohh so they feel around illegal age women? I am amazed😂

    • Shy *

    • Well, they don't want to get accused of statutory rape. When I was 26, I almost never had contact with teenagers, but one time an 18 year old female friend of mine I was hanging out with wanted to stop by some of her friends' parties. At one of them, I got hit on by the younger sister of one of her friends. I wasn't single at the time, so I didn't want to get hit on by anyone, wasn't being friendly anyway, and I was horrified that she hit on me because she was clearly too young to be hitting on someone my age. I asked her how old she was and it turned out she was 15 (I thought maybe she was 17). Then I asked her how old she thought I was, and she said "20". Even if I had been, 15 year old girls should not be hitting on 20 year old guys.

  • Every man that does date a girl who is 3 years younger in that age is just desperate, so being nervous is fine. If I had to talk to a girl like that, I would personally be a lot more distanced because I don't find younger girls "developed" enough to consult the matters of life, future, philosophy or work.

  • Because you're way young and it's kind of a society pressure not to be crazy

  • I don't.

  • He was afraid of going to jail.

  • The ones I’ve met aren’t shy

    • Is same for me

  • He was probably trying to not catch a case since you were underage.

  • Afraid of jail bait

  • I mean, the idea of ending up in jail is a good reason to feel shy tbh

    • 🤨🤨

    • If you're in your late 20's and hitting on an underage girl, that's the risk. If she's at least 18 that's something else, even tho they might still consider them as too young.

  • Females peak in beauty and fertility between 16-26. However take note the 16 is less than 18 which is the legal age, so obviously that puts us guys in quite the predicament. Society grately frowns upon it age gaps with men and teenaged girls and older women hate to see it because it reminds them of the wall they hit and became obsolete. If it wasn't for the threat of becoming a social outcast, teen females would be in high demand.

  • Some are, some aren't

  • Don't see a reason to be shy

    • Probably attracted to you more than likely

    • Yes he is attracted to me

    • You where to young then that's probably reason

  • I'm sure he loved having someone having feelings for him but you were underage so he didn't want to go to jail.

  • Not much probably only a little bit because their very beautiful and I'm in shock often

    • Not going to lie teens are very very beautiful but I only talk to them as friends unless their legal for everything 🙂

    • If a teen girl liked me I wouldn't be shy around her I just liked to be friends till she's legal and the most I'd do is hug her till she's legal

    • O and I would keep our conversation s teen friendly till she's legal

  • Not only jail risk but societal judgment. Old women hate seeing age gap relationships. It makes them feel obsolete...

  • I dated a 19 year old. But I was never shy

    • Good

    • Also that would be my limit. can't go younger.

    • He was only shy because you were underage.
