  • I need 3 men just to keep up with my libido... It's been very rare that a single man has been able to outdo me. So, I am unable to assume men are hornier.

It's possible that women are just more tired and more cautious. We tend to have a much heavier work load than men and end up more sleep deprived. Men usually get to go to work and be mostly done with their day after that. Plenty of time to get worked up and horny. Women tend to work and come home and work some more. Then, they finally fall into bed and pass out exhausted.

Plus, they have to worry about getting knocked up and an even heavier workload...

Many women are also on hormonal birth control, and that messes with their libidos. A huge portion of my libido is due to ovulating and hormonal fluctuations right before and after my period. Most hormonal birth control prevents ovulation and the hormonal fluctuations that go with it.

So, I would not bet that it's a biology thing so much as cultural and circumstantial.

    • I so know how you fell @wolfcat87. I think I need 3 women to keep up with me. But I don't think it would work out. I only have one bathroom. Having 3 women at home, I would have to get up at 4 a. m. just to get ready for work. lol. Do you still have the 3 men?

  • This is a complicated topic but in general i believe making definitive claims about something as personal and variable as libido and linking it strictly to gender is problematic.
Every individual is different when it comes to sexual desire and biological drives. Those things exist on a spectrum and are shaped by so many physical, psychological and social factors. Some research has suggested men tend to have higher sex drives on average, at least when comparing quantity of self reported desire. However the gender differences appear modest and what Someone says Contradicts what they actually feel or do. There is also evidence Women have as much capacity for sexual appetite and enjoyment as men but cultural shame and more stigma around expressing that openly may skew perceptions.
In the end making assumptions about a whole group is rarely accurate when human sexuality is so complex. If anything, we need to destigmatize desire across all genders so we can have more open, honest understanding of each other. The most ethical stance seems to be challenging notions of 'normal' levels and not placing value judgements on diversity in appetites.

  • Sex means different things. For men sex is external - its something they do to someone. For women it is internal - something done to them. So, for men horniness manifests as wanting to do it with no obstacles or restraints and extreme vitality. But that precise desire isn't really availible to women. Because sex happens inside their body and doesn't really depend on their own vitality, feelings of horniness have more to do with wanting to discover a man understands them (or whatever a girl is into). Physical arousal is something most women can just ignore, unlike men. So, for questions like this you have to establish how each is measured in a way that translates into the other.

  • It’s not that men are hornier, it’s that they use sex for a lot more needs than just sexual ones. For women, sex is that deep connection that can be very pleasurable and this is also the case for men. However, men also use sex to fill their needs for physical intimacy and having sex can be the only way some men feel comfortable being emotionally intimate. Because they rely on sex to fill more than just their needs for sexual intimacy, they desire it that much more because they don’t understand how else to fill those needs without it

  • Women are just as horny, but they are more repressed sexually by society. (Slut shaming). To put it another way, male sexuality is encouraged, female sexuality is shamed. Biologically, they are about the same, with standard variation of individuals, some being more or less horny than others. But social conditioning causes women to hide it or shift to being less horny.

Are men generally hornier than women?
    • it is because man instinctivly doesn't want another males bloodline to continue, we want ours to and only ours, fathers and brothers not wanting their daughter or sister to have sex is stems from this not patriarchy or such fem bullshit. our nature demands it when it is not the case it is not natural, it is how he was groomed that makes him doesn't care such things from females in his life.

    • @aceleon I agree there is a basic animal instinct like some animals kill the offspring of another male, so there are less evolved and sociopathic males in our society who will shame women or abuse the offspring of another male, because that is “natural” to them.

    • But then there’s your “groomed” versions who are against abusing children and against the “natural order” promote equality for others.

  • Yes, I think so, but it's closer to even than it seems. The difference is that men are generally much more likely to pursue casual sex, and so they will be more upfront about it with more women. Most women, on the other hand, strongly want the safety of a commitment before they feel free to unleash their libido (of course there are exceptions).

  • In general, yes... as God intended it.

But again, extreme exceptions do exist :)

Are men generally hornier than women?
  • It depends more on the individual than the sex.
Are women on average more choosing with whom to have sex. Yes that could be the case (although not even sure about that one), but it doesn't make us less horny.

    • @msmissydc you nailed it.

    • Women are way less horny than men

  • It depends on if she's a real woman or not. If he's a real woman she is. If she's open-minded and down to earth she is. Women can actually be more hornier than men or some men. I know women that are constantly wet all the time. I'm not constantly hard all the time. But if you're constantly wet then you're horny. And a lot of it has to do with age. You might be just as horny as me.

  • Absolutely. If you doubt it, talk to a woman who's taken supplemental testosterone. Get the average woman up to half of the average man's level, and WATCH OUT for the first week or so.

After that, she'll calm down, and you can usually find her going around all the men she knows and apologizing, usually saying something like "I understand now".

  • I think men are generally more vocal about being horny than women are, not exactly that all men in general are hornier than all women

    • I disagree 😐

    • @enterr10 disagree how?

    • I'd say men are way more horny than women

  • I would say NO. Men think way more about sex than women do but both are equally horny when it comes down to it.

  • They could be, but I think libido will vary from person to person regardless.

  • Yes, they are. But that's part of their nature. I've heard that they can't help it.

    • Haha especially at my age range… my hormones have been racing and I can’t control them one bit

    • @JohnK123 Hahaha yeah, I think age and hormones can be also responsible for that.

    • Ya it sucks smmmmm

  • When I get horny, I know how intense it can feel. However, I have never been completely inside a woman's body to feel how she feels when she is horny, so I have no way to make this comparison. And I suspect ever other person on the planet is in a similar position, so how could anyone make this comparison.

More importantly, why does it matter if my horniness is more intense than my partner's horniness? If we both feel horny and want sex, does it matter who felt it more intensely?

  • The ones who are downbad. Generally.

Attractive Males aren’t that obsessed with sex and bodycount from what I’ve noticed.

    they’ve been fed

  • Well, testosterone plays a hug part in sex drive and given that men are full of that, yes men are typically hornier than women. I dont think women understand the level of horniness a guy would go, like not even close.

  • Complete and utter bullshit fantasy to say men are more horney , simply NOT true , surely everyone has been with a highly sexed woman? Try keeping up with her ever ! Its a biological fact , that any woman can out last any man no matter how horney he is..

Its just a fantasy that has been peddled to men , and some are silly enough to believe it , its simply not true.

    • Are the girls in Thailand sex beasts like me?

    • @Unit1 I didn't really have Thai girls so much in mind , but I've certainly had one that utterly no one could keep up with , if you could go 24 hours , she'd go 24 hours , my cock was red raw.. and she was still waking me up.

    • Sounds good to me. I am still accumulating and making money to get there. Slow but steady.

  • I suspect it depends on how active they are in the bedroom to begin with. If you had sexual intimacy, and then it ended because the relationship ended, you may miss that and crave it more than another individual who is not as focused on sex, or is pleased with their current frequency/sexual activity.

  • It depends on time in life and cycle. Women can be very... so can men. It's all about the body trying to ensure surviving by progenecy...

  • I think women can at times get VERY horny. However on a day to day basis it could go either way.

  • It will likely vary between people, I think guys probably tell more people just how horny they are. You rarely get it when all the guys are out for a drink together and all are in relationships, then everyone is going on about how much they are getting. I think girls are more ‘polite’ with it and it’s only between them and their partner or someone they want. What someone says on social media to what they say in public is also different, a guy may come over on here as REALLY FUCKING HORNY, but in public is as quiet as a little mouse. Who in reality is the most horny will really vary across both sexes.

  • Nah I think that's a myth. Women are animals when it comes to sex. Men are chill and don't seem to want it as much

    • Finally sm honest girl lol

    • @Asad1ONE1 yeah these guys thinking men are more horny can't even last a few rounds to please a woman

  • It depends on the individual really. I personally have a sex drive that as high as any guy I know probably. I get horny a lot. It's just from what I've seen, women control it better and don't act on it as much.

    • it's not just sex drive. women tend to be more selective than men

    • Yeah usually so. But I wouldn't say men in general are more horny.

    • How do you keep it under control?
