I've heard a lot of arguments claiming that men who like a woman to have no pubic hair, are secretly or unknowingly pedophiles because mature women are supposed to have hair down there and a shaved vagina/vulva looks like it belongs to a prepubescent child.

I'd suggest those people go and clarify their understanding on the definition of a pedophile. I'm certain less pubes equates to more attraction because it's cleaner and practical. Some men still like some pubes and that's all good too, but calling someone a pedophile because of those preferences is obviously somewhat extreme.
