Are nipple piercings really that common these days or not?

i keep hearing that there much more common now yet i know a lot of young women and none to my knowledge have nipple piercings yet. most have their belly button pierced and ears , a lot have tattoo's or nose piercing. i haven't seen or heard about any nips being pierced yet i searched around a bit online and found an endless amount of quotes about nipple piercings , all these were from twitter , it seemed to be a common topic , i went a little overboard with the quotes but you get the point. I'm only 16, but probably 1/8 of the girls in my grade have them pierced and show them without a bra through their shirt. I don't have mine pierced, not do I want them pierced because I personally do not like it.

would you say there fairly common at the high school level then? I don't remember any girls having them when I went to high school , by 16 a lot of girls had nose or belly piercings but not nipples.

Yes it's a large city, and it is very diverse but I would say for the majority it's white, and some black who get their nipples pierced

funny that's what it was like with belly rings when I was younger , all the high school girls talked about wanting one or already having it pierced , not just the slutty ones, even the good ones , they'd like even show it to people at school after they got it pierced , like all the girls got that piercing back then and did that , now its nipple rings?

yep, I had it pierced when I was 14, though my parents don't know about it, and I lovely to flaunt them braless , and I usually stay topless wearing jeans in summer and my nips are visible , lovely for my hubby lol

I'm from Singapore, they are super common in my culture since about 10 years ago, so are tattoos.
But I think your question will often depend what culture you're from.

some times piercings are more popular in certain cities , I've found some tend to be more common in one city and less common in another. trends can vary a fair bit depending on where you live

but I could see them becoming more common , I mean once people are more open to tat's and piercings especially young women new piercings aren't as big a deal and women like to get piercings they can hide at work /school and then reveal to be sexier when needed. so they fit perfectly but then I know some girls with nice boobs who have been pierced in ears and belly already and can't see them getting nipples done yet , my ex and her younger sister both have large boobs and both have tragus and belly pierced since high school even though parents are somewhat religious but couldn't really see them getting nips done so I don't know

there seemed to be a surge here in 2019 on new piercings although haven't seen as many lately , although one girl i didn't know had one just appeared in my instagram feed , definitly a nipple piercing poking through her top

Based on my friends and girls I have been with I would say close to 1 in 5. When I lived in California I felt like is was every other girl.
