prostate exams can be somewhat painfull, if you're all tense. usually they're not.
When I got a prostate exam all I felt was pressure not so much pain. I also do have a very high pain tolerance.

I have never been to a gynecologist yet, because my mom says I don't need to go if I'm a virgin. I should go, but I don't want my mom thinking I've had sex because I haven't.
I understand, it always good to go see a gynecologist even if you are a virgin. I've heard a pap smear hurts because of the speculum spreading you.
@mistixs even if you are not active, and having sex, you should have had an exam, by your age. They look for all kinds of things, and if there is any kind of issue, it is easier, and more likely to be resolved, if discovered early!

I had a smear test earlier this year and was slightly painful I felt, but more so uncomfortable
Not painful but very uncomfortable. My goodness!
I had a prostate touch very recently and I barelly feel anything. It was quite neutral. Gloves, lubrificant and feel nothing.
They hurt for me...
Never painful at all, just a mild discomfort patient may feel first time... but no excruciating pain for which it is feared by mamy people... a bare myth that it hurts... just a discomfort of 2 mins... and maybe u enjoy it...😊😊

Prostate exams are awkward and uncomfortable, but not painful.
I'll be getting one next doctor visit... that's just part of routine upkeep when you get older
