  • I went with "no". I do think our ideas of "masculine" and "feminine" bodies are shaped by the general differences between men and women, and men are generally taller than women, BUT the differences that matter should be ones that relate to evolutionary fitness and reproduction.

In that sense a tall women is not necessarily less fertile and less suitable to reproduce and bear and raise children than a short one. In some respects she may even be superior in that context.

Take the idea that big boobs and butts are "more feminine" than small boobs and small butts. There might be some reproductive advantage there for women of certain racial groups, like Caucasian women, because a sufficient amount of body fat is needed for optimal fertility and breastfeeding, and those women tend to distribute fat predominantly around their breasts, butts, and thighs. However, that doesn't necessarily apply to Asian women with small breasts and butts who can still be very fertile in spite of it since they tend to distribute body fat more towards the pelvis.

So I see the idea of "feminine" as relating to fertility and child rearing and how bodies favoring those roles differ from male bodies, but don't see any arbitrary pronounced difference that males and females have as contributing to "feminine".

  • No I think any woman can be feminine. It’s up to how they carry and present themselves. To me it’s more personality and presence. This is why guys can also have a feminine quality too.

  • Nah.

The height makes us able to more realistically dominate others. I mean, a little 5'3 girl gets in my face... well my chest, Ill just kinda, throw her. Short people realize this so as a bigger person, you kinda just demand authority.

We also struggle more with feeling comfortable in heels and dresses because it draws attention to our hugeness, so we have a delay or under developed embrace of femininity.

I mean, we look beautiful, but when you are 6'4 in pumps with your titties pouring out of that dress thats 3 inches shorter on you due to long ass giraffe legs...

Its more comfortable to be 5'10 in jeans and a tee

  • What does being asexual have to do with analyzing what girl is more feminine? :P The answer is dependent on what traits we consider to be "feminine". But since that is subjective, then the answer would be, as well.

  • No... just like men aren't less manly if they are short

    • Yeah but they're less of an ideal male than taller males. A height of 5'4" as a male is not a diserable quality.

    • lol ummm... they kind of are

  • Maybe some. I am 5'8", which is a little above average, and no one would ever say that I am masculine! I think it depends on your appearance more than height. If you dress feminine, you will look feminine. Although if you strip away everything, I can see how a shorter woman would have an edge on the taller one. Shorter women will typically have a "cute" and "dainty" look which is associated with feminine features.

  • These are such broad statements that I'm reading... You all are generalizing tall women, saying that they're all one way. They're not, everyone is different. Tall women aren't less feminine than short women, because that's too much of a broad statement. It all depends on your genes, whether your father's genes are stronger or your mother's. It's not just body structure and everyone has different body structures. I'm 5'9 and quite skinny to the point my family tells me to put on more weight. Saying that, it doesn't make me less feminine because my body features are feminine, like breasts, booty and figure. Faces can define femininity, and personalities can as well. It's not just whether someone is tall or not that defines they're femininity. It's unfair to say that. It would be like saying that short guys are more feminine than tall guys, and we all know that's not true. So why say it about tall girls?

  • I imagine tall women to be graceful female deers, gracefully prancing in the wild. Their legs so long, and their bodies so tall.

  • Coming from a short woman, no i don't think so, tall women can look very elegant and feminine.

    • elegant giraffes

    • Munch

    • A tall woman can be feminine, but it requires OTHER feminine traits (which most obviously do have, they're still women after all). Being short and petite gives you a headstart. I think that's the best way to put it.

  • No. For example all models are really tall and that’s seen as an ideal for many women, so obviously that’s feminine.

    • Being a model has nothing to do with femininity.

    • Most models are really feminine.

    • They have feminine faces, but their bodies are pretty asexual. Most tall women, however, have masculine faces.

  • Yes. The modern idea for tall women originates from the modeling agency. In which, they fashion designers seek long, tall, slender women, to show off their clothing and accessories.

I am a traditionalist and prefer a small, or short girl. Nothing wrong with tall chicks, it's just most concepts of femininity are based off of them nowadays. And not the average women

  • Tall women have macho-like genomes that make them unfemenine while short women have an instinctive seductive hookup desire that drives their natural behaviors. It is something they can't control. Tall women suddenly become men at times.

    • I deserved MHO

  • Nope. My mom use to call me a tomboy and I’m 4’10. My tall ass friend is almost 6 ft and she’s girly... too girly though lol

  • Noo, tall women are feminine too, this coming from a guy who is 5'4 lol.

  • Hell no, but we men tend to be more protective of a short girl as they seem more vulnerable because of their size and most of them take advantage of that fact.

It is not that we find them more feminine, it is that they seem more vulnerable which make us feel more protective thereby making us feel more manly.

I know a few tiny girls that in no way come across as feminine, but they still have to ability to make me feel the need to help and protect them because of their size.

  • No. I'm 5'8 and most people would consider me to be feminine. I think a lot of people expect tall women to also be very bulky and muscular but obviously this is not always the case. Even though I'm tall the rest of my build is quite petite because im just naturally thinner and small. Just like a small women can look stocky because they have short legs and are more compact a tall women can be seen as very feminine because of long legs and slender bodies. A girls femininity is based on how she presents herself not solely her height.

  • Actually, neither, they are women for me!

  • Completely independent traits.

  • No, not at all. Tall women are just as feminine, and they should be proud of their height. It's a beautiful thing.

  • its really hard not to notice the tall babe at the bar with legs up to her chin... its really hard for guys not to notice that lol...
