Are you comfortable with nudity in your home?

Question

This question is NOT about public nudity, as at a nude beach or nudist resort. Are you comfortable with nudity at home?

When I was a kid, my brothers and I would sometimes go into the kitchen for breakfast wearing just the whitey tighties that we wore to bed every night, but that was the only time that being partially dressed was allowed and there was never any nudity.

When I was in a relationship in 2003-2007, it was me, my girlfriend, and her daughter. My girlfriend routinely walked around naked in front of her daughter. If I was not at home, daughter would be nude, also. When I was present, daughter was often in just her panties and bra, and I usually wore just my boxers at home. Daughter slept in just her panties and occasionally changed clothes with her bedroom door open. I briefly saw her totally nude on one occasion (she was 19 years old.) Daughter would occasionally walk into our bedroom when I was changing clothes but she never saw me nude. I can't say that her daughter was unattractive; no, she was a very pretty girl. However, there was never any sexual suggestions or behavior towards her daughter and no harm ever done as a result of the nudity. I never did anything other than act like a good father to her.

Other partners who had daughters at home were not that open about nudity/partial nudity and, of course, I always respected the wishes of my partner. I am not a nudist, I don't think I will ever visit a nudist beach or resort, and I don't think I would ever get nude in front of anyone other than my partner.

How comfortable are you with nudity or partial nudity in your home? If you are uncomfortable with it, is there a reason that motivates you? For example, are you afraid that nudity will lead to inappropriate sexual behavior?

I'm half nude as we chat here. You should see my question on dinner routine lol and you get a better sense of my comfort in half nudity or full nudity. And I mean only at home I too would never go to nude beach I'm amongst my close family members and that's different but it's also how I was raised.
We always got undressed and dress or swam in the river in Puerto Rico in our undies with other family members I remember sharing bath time with cousins as well... If we were the same genders then we would go buff if not in our undies. I recall when I was struggling to potty train my daughter as a toddler my aunt's took my daughter outside (it's private small tropical farm) and let her run around naked I was confused by this and they told me just watch and all of a sudden she went from playing with the chickens turn very serious she rushed to a corner away from the pathway and suddenly she squatted and peed and then took off. Apparently something about being naked in nature sets off their natural ability to think about when they have to pee. 🤷 Who was I to argue with elder women who raised several children. So during potty training she ran around naked of course we introduced the pot lol and my goodness it worked. with my son it was a little harder since I didn't have the freedom of a countryside anymore and my home had carpeting but I still let him run around naked and he figured out potty training pretty well. Like I mentioned here and displayed on my dinner post it's still just natural for me to be half nude or naked in my own home.

Growing up, we were always pretty casual. We did't sit around naked or anything, but we didn't get dressed for breakfast, just night shirts and undies most days. To and from the showers depended on timing and if everyone was late. Showering with someone at the sink, or walking to/from naked was just part of the process and everyone got on with their day.

I have a slight exhibitionist side to me. I get naked in front of my girlfriends, but it's always arousing to me and I get hard. I don't live a nudist lifestyle because I see nudity as too erotic and exciting.

I certainly am as I am the only person in it. But even then I would rarely be nude in my house unless it was after a shower. I might go out in my spa in the buff but usually at night and no lights are on.

How comfortable are you with nudity or partial nudity in your home? Hubby is pretty much a nudist so, I became very comfortable with nudity after dating/marriage to him. When the kids were around, if they walked into the bedroom or bathroom when we were changing/showering or undressed for whatever reason it was not anything to react about.

When the kids were younger, they would be undressed or just in their underwear around the house. No big deal either.

Now that we are empty nesters, nudity is common place. Hubby is always nude at home. I am usually just in panties or panties and t-shirt but sometimes will be nude as well.

If you are uncomfortable with it, is there a reason that motivates you? Not uncomfortable now.

Are you afraid that nudity will lead to inappropriate sexual behavior? No such thing between us.

I’m nude pretty much all the time around the apartment, so is boyfriend but we don’t have kids and many of our friends are used to it, so it’s not a big deal

I’m comfortable with nudity in my home. My brother 14, and mother 50 also live with me. My mother changes wherever and dries off after the shower so I’ve seen her naked frequently but my brother doesn’t mostly because I think he’s a teenager and a boy. When I turned 18 I asked him if he wanted me to start wearing clothes around the house.

Because I think it’s inappropriate for adults to be around children naked without their permission.

I was an only child with pretty chill parents. I remember not wearing some clothes and it not being a big deal when I was younger but when I hit puberty I kept clothes on more often around the house, but was often nude in my bedroom and my parents respected my privacy on that.

In my home yes absolutely, was never happy with it around my family though, but then I never had a good relationship with my family from a fairly young age so that probably played a part. If someone comes to my home and they feel comfortable being naked that is fine by me, I'm often naked around others in my home to and am perfectly comfortable with it.

Totally comfortable but I live alone lol. But I'm also a nudist and if I had a family would like a nudist one, or at least have everyone feel comfortable being naked if they wanted to be and not have it be a big deal, it would be "normal".

But that aside, I think as a couple at least you should each feel comfortable being nude with each other at any time.
