OMG, I would hope not, for you!! I've seen how some women are, in some cultures and what a horror!! Unlike male circumcision, those cultures do it when the young girl is approaching puberty, and no anesthetic. At least with male circumcision, the baby is too young to even remember anything about it, and maybe there is some pain, but I was, and I haven't had any kind of after-effects of it!

@holograph The differences and motivations are so totally different. You cannot compare them. For the young women that I have heard of in some places in Africa are mutilated with no anesthetic, when they are entering puberty. They are totally conscious, aware and feeling all the pain, and they are mutilated for reasons I have heard, but cannot believe! As far as male baby male circumcisions, they are performed before the infant is aware and has memory, and while he may feel pain, there is no memory. I was circumcised, and even if I could change it, I wouldn't. Can the millions of women that were forced to be mutilated, say the same?
