It's evident that quite a few companies are planning on manufacturing the ultimate sex robot. They're quite a few sites that offer you the opportunity to order a robot of your choice. Call me what you'd like but its evident that this is a form of population control. If men, have their ideal women (physically) they'll be less men having sex with real women. It's also evident that although many companies are developing female sex robots, there hasn't been as much progression when it comes to the male robots. Is it because men are actually very insecure. The idea of replacing a women with a robot may not bother many men but those same men would hate to be replaced by a male robot. If say, both sides produce sex robots. Less people will have sex with eachother meaning less pregnancy which results in a smaller population. I am threatened by these sex robots.

I'm not feeling threatened by sex robots. If people, male or female, want to have sex with just the robots that is their freedom and if that freedom means that humanity dies out because nobody wants to have sex with other human beings anymore, then so be it, humanity wasn't meant to be around then anyway.
How can I be threatened? Nothing beats the real thing and guys are stupid for putting their dick in something with a bunch of electrical wires

Why are we even fucking with robots? Why are we creating things that are SMARTER than us? Why is human life not good enough? I don't like robots in general. I think all this technology is going to come back to bite us in the ass. These sex robots are lame. People who can't get any are gonna love them. They're gonna create all sorts of problems. It will take quite a while until machines are smarter then humans in anything else then a very specialised area.
Two of Facebook's robots were shut down after they began to talk to each other in their own language... what else can they do that we didn't specifically design then to do? That's scary to me and that's already happening
@usernamme, you are mistaken. AI is so advanced right now you can't tell man from machine in text conversation, and it absolutely will outsmart you and anyone you know.
desperatlyhungry: If you let 2 Neuronal Networks talk to each other without controlling it then they will invent their own language. That being said none of their words will have any meaning and the articifial intelligence is not able to grasp any concept which are not related to answering a question. That being said reality and the words of their own have no meaning for the neuronal network it will never be able to generalize. Chaz269 Again an AI which is completly spezialized in speech which no real concept what the speech means, it just knows if I get question X maybe even with a context Z I will give output L. Think of them like a human with only a brain area for speech and nothing else then you are closer to reality.

For the most part, I don't really care since most of these robots are pretty expensive. I am mad that the female ones look bomb, while the male ones look like a mannequin with a wig glued on.
Also, if somebody is interested in getting one of these, you're clearly better on without them.
I think they're weird and kind of gross, but if they keep the pedos and the rapists at bay, I'm game.
They are looking into the development of a child sex robot to reduce child abuse. I think it's all a bit sick really.

@Goodwifie You think it is sick, because those people really are sick. It isn't normal to fantasize about children, and a normal healthy mind certainly wouldn't. We don't have the ability to heal their sick minds, but maybe we can keep them from harming real children. I don't know why you think that giving them an outlet for their weird sex drives, would make them think it is okay. There is a difference between reality, and fantasy. Pedophiles exist whether we want to pretend they exist or not. Not giving them access to these dolls, won't make them stop being pedophiles. If this has a chance to stop real children from being hurt, it would be immoral not to look into this as a possible way to keep children safe. We still make sure they know it is illegal to harm a real child. If you are suggesting it would increase the odds of them harming a real child, there is no evidence that currently suggests that would be the case. I would love to some some studies on it, but it seems safe.

How would this keep pedos at bae? The sex doll is grown woman, unless the start making kid version which is not going to happen.. and shouldn't at least. Rape still happens regardless of sex toys and prostitution, so I don't see how the sex doll would help/or helpings. as right now.

@BrittBratt2416 They make child dolls already. Although no study has been done to measure if it helps prevent them from attacking children or not, but apparently they are doing such a study now. These people are going to have the urges no matter what, because there is something wrong with their brains that we don't know how to treat. If they can take their crazy out on a doll, maybe it could stop them from hurting a real child. As far as preventing rape, it may stop some kinds. The adult women dolls are actually more popular than the human prostitutes where both are offered. So it could curb human trafficking at least to some degree. I am not sure why the dolls are more popular. It could be that they can be sterilized so there is no risk of an STD.

Pfffffffffffffff! Never. Unsecured men are very narrow minded. I would never choose a replacement for reality in any matter. This has to do with morals, respect, manners and parenting.
I don't think it's so much a mean of population control but rather a very profitable market: several studoes affirm that our generation is more depressed and has more issues communicating and creating meaningful relationships, therefore has more trouble finding sexual partners, also pregnancy is a serious issue that not a lot of people want to deal with.
You blame that most of sexual robots are female because men insecurities: I won't deny that there is some of that; but again I think it has more to do with market: it's easier for women than for men to find someone to have sex with (I'm not talking about the social repercusions, just about the act of finding a sexual partner) therefore male population is a more profitable market.
In any case: it's very good that helps reduce the worlds overpopulation and it's a viable option for people that can't find people to have sex with.
So no I don't feel threatened
We have sex 'dolls' that maybe have the ability to spit out recorded lines or something. They aren't all robots quite yet. Female androids are what men want; autonomy, the ability to move and maintain independently. To be honest, if you're female and this concept scares you, you aren't worth a damn anyhow.
