Are you threatened by sex robots? Male or female?

It's evident that quite a few companies are planning on manufacturing the ultimate sex robot. They're quite a few sites that offer you the opportunity to order a robot of your choice. Call me what you'd like but its evident that this is a form of population control. If men, have their ideal women (physically) they'll be less men having sex with real women. It's also evident that although many companies are developing female sex robots, there hasn't been as much progression when it comes to the male robots. Is it because men are actually very insecure. The idea of replacing a women with a robot may not bother many men but those same men would hate to be replaced by a male robot. If say, both sides produce sex robots. Less people will have sex with eachother meaning less pregnancy which results in a smaller population. I am threatened by these sex robots.

  • No. I don't know much about them but I'm assuming...

    1) insanely expensive and very few could afford them
    2) no body heat, cold, different texture etc
    3) no emotions, thoughts, feelings, conversations

No matter what, it's not going to compare to a real live human being. It might be OK some of the time (like a sex toy), but it's not going to "replace" a real live human being.

  • Ok there are some misconceptions floating around.
    1. Machines and AI will not be smarter or better than humans in the near future. They may be better in specialized roles then humans, but once you try to expand their capabilities you need more and more computing power and we are reaching our limit with silicion in how small we can make cpus.
    2. Sex robots will not help with a overcrowded world since most of the population growth is in the poor countries were they can't afford sex robots.
    3. At a certain point there will be no real difference between humans and robots simply because we make robots more humanlike and we will start to improve ourself with artificial components.

  • Nope

  • If/When these things come out, it would eliminate a lot of issues regarding sexual needs/wants. Lot of guys want hookups. Cool, they get a sex bot to sate their appetites. Women may want one too, then I guess eventually they may get one. When it comes to the emotional aspect, not everyone needs or even wants that. People do need some type of communication and connection with other people, as we are social animals. For the being insecure part, I'm sure there are plenty of people that would feel hurt and insecure for being replaced by a machine. Personally, I couldn't care any less. The population would possibly thin, but there is that episode of Rick and Morty where the sex bots literally carried sperm to the developed planet to create more offspring. With the coming of robots of this caliber in this life, I would assume they would think of a way to prevent humanity from thinning out too greatly.

  • Saw a video yesterday of a extremely realistic sex doll. I immediately started googling where I could find it.

  • Of-course not. I have real emotions.

  • I would feel very intimidated and the experience wouldn't feel natural

  • They're overpriced toys. They have a place perhaps even for sophisticated couples. This might be a bit harsh but any guy who prefers a doll to a real woman is adding to the gene pool by subtraction.

  • No I prefer them over real human. Once they get advanced enough to be pretty much human in terms of texture etc it's basically sex with the ideal mate and a slave that doesn't nag and cleans

  • Nope, I want emotional connection too, robots won't do that.

  • There are at least a billion suitable East Asian and Latin American women who would welcome an opportunity for a better life and love family, children and their men. They celebrate traditional femininity and mostly possess and are proud of domestic skills. They are waiting for your call to deliver them from the third world. Visas and transporting cost less than a high end sex robot and cook a hell of a lot better. Nope. Not scared and just by the way, she's beside me in my bed asleep while I type this.

  • There’s been less progress on male robots because women don’t spend money on sex as much as men do.

I honestly suspect gay men will drive the market more than women.

    As for threatened no.

Would totally do threesomes with a partner plus robots.

  • Lol no.

  • Nope
Not even a little bit, I'm actually quite excited about them
I would like to get one myself

    • Me too. For the times my man isn't horny and I am.

  • No more than I'm threatened by sex toys or other men *shrug* What people do in their own time ain't my business ^_^

  • No robot can stand up to a human

  • Im creeped out by them but im not threatened by them.

    • Same

  • So... you believe a for-profit company's business model is based on reducing the global population thereby limiting the potential for new buyers? Geezus... you're a special kind of special aren't you?
Now, if China was commissioning these bots, and enforcing their use by law, maybe you'd have a point. But they're not, so your conspiracy theory is extra dumb.
Also, there are "male" sex robots, and they're just as advanced as the "females". Most companies that design, manufacture and sell one, do both. So you missed the mark there too. I wonder if you bothered to do any research at all. Or did you just formulate a baseless opinion with lies and half-truths for trolling purposes? Gotta admit, you struck a chord.
Nothing to worry about though. A lot of these same arguments were posed when dildos and vibrators first became commercially available. No joke! There was even a lobby to outlaw their use because lawmakers thought women would give up on men entirely. That's why the first vibrators were used on women by doctors, as prescribed for "hysteria". Google that shit. You can thank me later.
