No it can't, sex is very integral part of relationship. Highly important for couples to bond
It can but it is difficult. As a man with a lifelong high testosterone level, there is a strong drive to be sexually intimate with my wife. In an alternate universe I would have sex twice a day but I drop it down to 2 or 3 times a week depending on how she feels.
If something were going on with her that made it more difficult, I would defer until things changed. While sex is important to me, "in addition to the physical satisfaction it makes me feel closer to her emotionally.
