My girlfriend and i have been together 10 months. We had a girlfriend for 3 months and dated another girl for a month and had one hookup with a 3rd girl. As well as gone on dates with a few others that didn't turn sexual. This has made our relationship stronger.
Ofc sometimes relationships ending can be messy. My girlfriend is no longer friends with our exgf but i am still. Neither of us is friends with the girl we saw a lot for a month. She is friends with the girl we hooked up with but im not really. And were both still friendly with all the girls we dated with no sex.
I dont think it would be remotely as functional if we were talking about dudes being involved. You werent clear so i figured id add my 2 cents. in my opinion it never works unless one or both of you is not typical. Luckily neither of us wants to invite any men into our relationship.

Between two girls its difficult enough however women generally... a) find each other sexually attractive so if you're bi then thats in your favor but if you're straight like most guys then it will turn competitive eventually as one guy will clearly be the sexual primary whether it was decided differently or not b) women usually are more submissive than aggressive. We had some issues but when i as the man told them to play nice they straighten out. This isn't how masculine men tend to react to challenges. Also will the woman be good at enforcing the rules? Usually they aren't that good at being enforcer. C) women tend to be more cooperative than independent. They aren't as independent as most men and like to have a girl on their team to talk with girl chat where many men dont need or want anyone on their team that gets in their way. Im a masculine dominant aggressive kind of man and my girlfriend is feminine submissive girl. So its very clear how things go down. From general society too its a source of pride for a man to have two women and shame to share his girl with other men. So there is that as well.
Yeah dude, I can see how things could play out that way in most cases. Maybe we are all a bit weird but in our case all 3 of us are aggressive and when all 3 of us got together we were equally in sync.
I've always been the 3rd, and its bever changed anything between me and the people I've done it with, other than possibly bringing us closer.
Good to know, yeah I feel the same is happening here. Our 3rd feels closer now.

LOL I was on that website Nextdoor dot com and I saw that someone posted "Couples Seeking Couples". That surprised me on THAT site because it is mostly for neighborhood stuff and people selling their stuff, or reporting activity, etc. So I guess some couples are looking for other couples on it.
