As much as anyone would like to disagree, I think that we all have a desire for a deep emotional connection with another human regardless of gender! I don't get why some people say men dont want these things, its not true. Men want to be close to a woman just as much as women want to be close to a man. Its not always just about 'getting off'.

Yeah they are guys out there who do want it. Me personally I could live without it as its at the bottom of my list of priorities. Its sex that I can't live or do without, men need sex.

Not me , not anymore anyway. I'm a FT working single dad , a situation which will permanently bar me from any intimate relationship , but had accepted this long ago & I enjoy being single & cannot imagine ever being in a relationship again , even after my children have grown up , but I'm a " detached " type of person.
I think women have their emotional & " closeness " needs met by other women , female friends are much closer than male friends & are quite tactile with each other , plus female sexual desire is much lower than her male equivalent on average , this is the age of " I don't need no man " . The advantage men have is that we are generally less social & communicative than women & need much more alone time.
