I ddin't understand this statistics. if you mean 20 % men are doing hook ups then most likely not, it would be they do 1 of every 5 hook ups done worldwide (if that' the probe). I am math's graduate so I am a little off here

Plenty of guys like to use this as an excuse, but if you try hard enough and become a good quality guy, you’ll get them. Why do you think guys also question how a good looking girl could be with someone who’s not as attractive? It’s not because she’s desperate, she often has MANY options.
I am not obese , I groom regurarly , i take care of my external image. I try difefrent styles. I am in my senior year in college with fairly good grades. I am also having a master after that. I have hobbies ( indoors though). I have '' put up the work'' so to speak. Nothing happened , so rn i am in a point where i say '' F relationships '' and i go for a monk lifestyle.

Hi yeah, actively been trying for years now. Tried many different activities, tried to better myself for years. Women still see straight through as if I do not exist.

Well it works plenty for my guy mates and many are average.

@LZPanzer I look around me and base my opinions on real life experience. That could’ve been a rubbish sample size for a start. And tbh online dating is going to be based more on looks too. Real world experience tells me that if he keeps trying he’ll get it.
Not pretending to say that’s true for everyone. I couldn’t possibly know that. But in my experience, that’s how it is.
It's fine if that is your experience. Okcupid is a fairly large dating site, there could be plenty of things wrong with that data/ interpretation but sample size likley isn't one of them. My real world experience is that
I'd modify this a bit: it's the guys who try the most at the *right things*. I've seen guys try the same thing over and over and get no results (definition of insanity). So the successful guys are the ones who can: A) observe what works best over time, B) strip away everything extraneous or contrary to what works best; and C) Pivot and react dynamically as real time situations diverge from their axiomatic expectations based on what worked yesterday/last week/last year etc. (Knowing from experience that 'known experience' isn't always sufficient to meeting the unique demands of a new situation.) Guys who DON'T observe, test, refine, and pivot are doomed to failure, no matter how much they "try". In fact their excessive trying will hurt them. We even have a fitting word for those guys: TRY-HARDS.
