Do you consider male circumcision to be genital mutilation?
I'm pretty much against it for babies, I dont think it should be banned but for parents that want it done but they should have to pay a lot for it since it's basically just for looks.

What is your opinion on circumcision? Are you for or against it?

  • I don't believe that babies should be circumcised. I think we can call it genital mutilation, considering the loss of sensitivity during sexual activity.

  • Yes it's genital mutilation done for no better reason than someones whacked out religious beliefs.

  • I believe it should only happen when there is a medical need for it other then that it should definitely be keep luckily it's rare that a boy needs a circumcision.

  • Let me point out that i have nothing against it as a religious thing.

I love how not wanting to slice the tip off your newborns penis became the "crazy" and unpopular position lol. Every possible rationale is insane and simply doesn't hold water.
I can't bring a pack of peanuts around your precious baby due to possible allergies but your hacking a razor at your kids dick? It's bizzare.

  • No. Stay out of it. Leave people alone, focus on your own issues. Seriously.

    • Eh nah that's not how life works. What someone else is doing to their kids could also affect my kids if they decide to have a realtionship with them

    • How? I’m just curious what your viewpoint is?

    • @designer1 - Circumcision is common and well accepted in the US. You girls need to get a life.

  • Absolutely.
They shouldn't be cutting boy's foreskins without their permissiom

  • You can't say MY BODY MY CHOICE as a female, if you don't give your own baby boy a choice whether he wants his foreskin later on in life.

  • Unless medically necessary it shouldn't be done on a child. On anyone really.

  • It depends on the context. If a grown man decides to have his foreskin cut off for whatever reason it's fine. If it's a baby, it's mutilation.

  • I don't. Its purposes don't deprive men to have pleasure or anything

    • It does tho. A anonymous guy in the comments said he got it done at 14 and he feels like something is missing for him

    • Maybe there was a problem in his procedure. Most men who do that, say it gives more pleasure

    • Clue is "Anonymous" which should hold no importance as it could and most probably is just another TROLL

  • Its mutilation. Its not at all necessary. Its against the Hippocratic oath. Why it still happens in this day and age is beyond me.

  • No not at all

  • I feel that more often or not it is a cultural thing. I feel that the person circumcised should have a say in what is being done and why. At one stage, i thought very seriously of having the snip done as an adult.

  • It’s not mutilation but I don’t think it’s really necessary anymore

  • Yes. I could never understand women who'd look at you expecting you had it done - yet when you ask 'well why didn't you get your labia cut off' they consider you a monster.

  • like cutting the hood off the clitoris

  • No I think it's up to parents to decide

    • Plus hugs who have it done as babies are usely glad to not have to clean more often as my friends say

  • I'm uncut myself and it is absolutely mutilation by definition.

Thank goodness I was born to a kind mother! The foreskin has so many nerve endings..

  • On babies, yes. Let's not do body modifications on underaged people at all. I am of that opinion in all cases, that goes for transgenders as well.
That said, if someone has a bad case of phimosis or something similar, they might require circumcision as well, of course that should be allowed.

  • I am against circumcision unless its done due to medical reasons
