Yes it's genital mutilation done for no better reason than someones whacked out religious beliefs.
I believe it should only happen when there is a medical need for it other then that it should definitely be keep luckily it's rare that a boy needs a circumcision.
Let me point out that i have nothing against it as a religious thing.

@designer1 - Circumcision is common and well accepted in the US. You girls need to get a life.
It's actually becoming less common by the day circumcision rates for newborns now a days is about 50% of parents get their kids snipped compared to the 80% back in the 90s

My kids are both uncut and they are staying that way. They can decide for themselves later on in life

You can't say MY BODY MY CHOICE as a female, if you don't give your own baby boy a choice whether he wants his foreskin later on in life.
Unless medically necessary it shouldn't be done on a child. On anyone really.
It depends on the context. If a grown man decides to have his foreskin cut off for whatever reason it's fine. If it's a baby, it's mutilation.

I feel that more often or not it is a cultural thing. I feel that the person circumcised should have a say in what is being done and why. At one stage, i thought very seriously of having the snip done as an adult.

On babies, yes. Let's not do body modifications on underaged people at all. I am of that opinion in all cases, that goes for transgenders as well.
That said, if someone has a bad case of phimosis or something similar, they might require circumcision as well, of course that should be allowed.
I am against circumcision unless its done due to medical reasons
