Do you get uncomfortable watching a gay scene on TV?

Homosexuality is a very debated topic and film and TV makers are constantly making it okay - after all it's our culture now. But the amount of times you see an actor or actress asked if s/he minds going against personal sexual preference for a scene... I'm wondering how many viewers get uncomfortable. I've always been a believer of regardless of sex, I'm here to enjoy a show not get horny. When it comes to the public, I don't want to see a straight, bi, or gay couple get super intimate with me. Gays do not bother me, but super intimate scenes of anyone make me clench with a "... really?" So, are you out off by gays and bis being shown on the big screen, enjoy it, or just on the fence?
Yes I do, creeps me out

  • nah I love man on man action <3

  • Nope doesn't bother me one bit :-)

  • No it has no relevence to my sexual preference to it doesn't really apply. I dont really care.

  • Nope the whole thing ( the act not the people) just frankly disgusts me and goes against religious and none religious personal beliefs.

  • Does liking girl-on-girl porn count? :-)

  • I feel uncomfortable watching really intimate scenes disregarding if it's homosexual couple or heterosexual couple. I tend to fast forward scenes where there is a lot of kissing and touching in general. Other than that, I'm fine with watching a movie or show where there is a homosexual couple in it. For instance Pretty Little Liars is one of my favorite tv shows, and there is indeed a lesbian couple in it, Emily and Paige.

I'm sorry but I'm disgusted by acts of homosexuality ( don't have anything against gay people ).

I mean what people do behind closed doors is their business but when it's on TV ( advertisements ) I can't help it. It's repulsive and abhorrent to me.

I wish they wouldn't show it.

  • i get uncomfortable with sex scenes in movies regardless of sexual orientation, my boyfriend is the same.

  • Yeahhhhhhhhhhh makes me cringe.

  • I'm not against gays or anything but sometimes it makes me feel uncomfortable and sometimes it does not.

  • Makes me uncomfortable. Why? Well its unattractive to me as anything you see that is really unattractive makes you uncomfortable. Rarely do you see them have shows with an extremely unattractive couple making out because it makes people uncomfortable. Also sick of the media jamming this gay stuff down my throat with all this non sense on TV. I could care less with what one does with their personal l Iife, why flaunt it in my face and tell me to accept it or I'm a hateful homophobe? Today's society just shuts down free speech by calling everything hate speech. Anyway, went of topic, sorry.

  • I have a high tolerance to what I can handle

  • Sex scenes get uncomfortable in general, but the only thing about displays of homosexuality that I have a problem with is that I'm always thinking if it feels forced. Like, 'gotta have a certain density of gays in our content lest we be called bigots' but apparently they won't see the tokenism in that at all.

  • Yes I do get uncomfortable watching gay scenes on the tv and in the real life, like any other person with normal biological programming.

  • any time if I see a scene like that on tv its creeps me out to the point were I look a way and close my eyes

  • Its okay for me when teo girls kiss. Its disguisting to me when two guys do it.
Exept if im like prepared for it ( if its a movie with gay themes, if its like kinda obvious) im totally thrown off and change the channel.

  • You don't like sex scenes at all? I like it if it's 2 chicks, but don't care to see 2 guys make out. That's why I have a DVR so I can skip ahead.

    • I like kissing scenes and tummy kissing scenes. Basically the lead up. I feel really awkward even with a straight couple humping away. In real life, I find snogging too far, any type of couple.

  • I don't really care

I'm comfortable enough in my sexuality to not have to question myself or close my eyes like some child

That said though, I haven't seen a lot of sex scenes period, let alone gay ones

  • Doesn't affect me one bit.

  • It doesn't bother me too much. Its more common to see lesbians on TV so I think that's why I'm OK with it for the most part, but when I see two dudes kissing it's just discomforting.

    • I think lesbians are more talked about - guys going "oh it's hot" and you don't get that with girls the other way around. But also two men having sex is more graphic. Hence my stance of do what you like just don't show me in detail!
