Sexual Health Do you see oral sex as more intimate / personal than intercourse?

Personally, I've always viewed oral as much more intimate than penetration. In the past, I've had casual sex but I've never casually given oral. I've only ever given oral to a partner I love, or merely as foreplay. I've never given oral to completion outside of a loving and committed relationship.

For me the reason I find oral more intimate is because it feels like a submissive thing you do FOR someone.. and because of that and the fact that is can be very degrading if done for someone who doesn't love and care about you, I find it means more when it's done for someone you trust. I think giving oral makes you vulnerable in a one one at that intercourse does not.

Full on intercourse is more intimate. However, I think there is a level of selflessness found in oral.
Receiving is more intimate. Giving hardly feels intimate at all - more of just a way to get a guy off without intimacy, to be honest. (Such as to get him to stop pestering you).
Why would you ever do something sexual you don't want to do just to get a guy to stop pestering?
Not so much anymore, because I'm rarely in the same kind of social situations. When I was younger it happened more. A lot of guys at parties and things can be very persistent and aggressive. If you'd make the mistake of making out or going to a secluded area or even falling asleep where a guy may lay next to you (alone or around others), inevitably he'd want to get off. So giving head was easier than risking him flipping out and getting mean or could be a way to get him to go away and not continuing to paw all over you or whine all night.
Wow. That makes me really sad to hear... no one should ever feel like they have to give head :(
