If it happen when you were 18 then your consider as an adult. 17 and 16 I think you need permission but you couldn't do sexual activities I think? 🤔. At least you didn't get caught. Also everybody has their own personal needs and wants there needs to be fulfilled.

The only wrong thing about it is that it could cause the teacher to have a conflict of interest in regards to the teacher judging the student's performance in-class, giving the student an unfair advantage. Aside from that, I don't see any inherent issues with the it.

Yes, It is a violation of the trust that we put into teachers. Its fine that you two have feelings for each other but he shouldn't have acted on them

With a teacher is toeing the line, with their teacher is wrong. So it would be questionable if you only had sex after he finished teaching you. If you had sex whie he was teaching you then it was wrong.
Why questionable?
Because he's still considered an authority figure in relation to you. Yet he isn't directly above you because his views regarding you do not affect your grades. So of he was actually teaching you during the time period you had a relationship, it was wrong. Otherwise it could be okay.
I think that the teacher is in the wrong.
I don't think that anyone in a position of authority should have sex with those that they have authority over. Especially underage but even if they are both grown, a boss shouldn't have sex with those that work for him, as an example.
