Do you think straight men have a right to complain if gay men ogle them when they go topless?

Somebody asked a question about women going topless, and most men said that a woman can go topless, but should not complain if she's ogled by men.
Yet I'm sure that a lot of these guys would complain if they were topless & gay guys were ogling them.
My best friend is a gay guy & he often expresses to me that he gets sexually frustrated when he sees shirtless guys.
Yet gay men are expected not to look. But if straight men aren't expected not to ogle, why should gay guys be expected not to? Isn't it a little hypocritical of straight guys to say that it is okay for them to ogle topless women, yet they expect gay guys not to look when they go flaunting their pecs and nipples in public?

Both gay and straight men should be expected not to ogle topless people

  • I would have a right to complain if I wanted to, but only because I do not ogle women in a creepy manner to begin with. I have a massive foot fetish so seeing women in flip flops and barefoot all the time is practically like seeing them naked to me, although I have to suppress my sexual frustration and behave around them. I do not think that there is anything wrong with looking as long as you do not make the other person feel uncomfortable or start acting weird.

  • Anyone can ogle anyone they want, just don't expect me to be the ogler or oglee.

  • why only straight men? why only when they get oggled by gay men?

    • "Why only straight men?" Because straight men are the ones saying that women shouldn't complain if men ogle them if they go topless

    • ah, gotcha

  • I don't see why they'd complain, ogling someone is not harming them, unless they're leering and being creepy.

  • It's just rude to stare at people in general so i think it's ok to complain about it if you don't like it.

  • Any well-behaved person will not ogle, but topless people can't expect others to be well behaved since most people are not.

  • What immature people ogle anyone that is topless? Be an adult and accept other people being naked without it being about sex.

  • I did have twice a situation when gay dude was hitting on me in a club even tho im 100% straight with a girlfriend in a relationship
    That was kinda annoying TBH

  • No women should go topless, boobs are private parts and should only be seen by their future husband or at least their boyfriend.

Stop this ridiculous non sense that a man's chest is similar to woman... cause IT'S NOT!

  • couple things.
    1. I would actually feel good about my self if somebody ogled me like I see other guys get. Even if it was a guy doing it, I would take it as a complement.
    2. You're walking around in public topless, you are looking for attention. Plain and simple. Only way you could demand more is if you were completely naked shooting off roman candles yelling, "ask me about my weiner."

  • Lol. I guess you do have a point there. I just don't appreciate it when people ogle me in the restroom, regardless of their sexual orientation.

  • I'm flattered.

  • I mean, what's the point of complaining when you're the on with the exposed skin, especially if your nipples are exposed?

  • It would bother me, but I’d try to stay quiet about it.

  • Most men probably don't care if some gay dude is ogling them, as long as they're not obvious about it.

  • If your going to expose yourself to the world you dont get to exclude people on the basis of race creed or religion, dont want to be ogleddont expose yourself.

  • Idc if they enjoy the gunshow as long as they aren’t straight up taking pictures, but I know my girlfriend complains constantly about girls looking at me when I run cross country.
Usually I practice shirtless and the uniform is basically spandex bottom and top for actual races. I guess I’d feel the same way if guys looked at her at her tennis matches but I’d probably just confront them. I guess girls don’t really do that

  • I wouldn't want a gay guy looking at me, now I get why girls are creeped out when guys stare at em with a boner in their pants.

  • I'm straight, but I wouldn't care if someone ogled me. I take it as a compliment because I workout a lot.

  • Actually i like the attention. Lol 😜😎
